Hanazono Shrine is a beautiful and relaxing place in Kitaibaraki city.
The sound of the river and a lot of green all around makes me calm. You can take a walk on the road in front of the shrine to release stress. Also, descriptions of the sacred tree called Kobusugi and how to pay your respects at the shrine are written on the board. For those who collect them, you can get a shrine’ stamp without waiting a long time.

However, Hanazono Shrine is far from the closest train station, Isohara station, so you can only get there by car. And the road to Hanazono Shrine is very narrow to drive. Unfortunately, there are few streetlights on the road, so it’s not good to go there in the evening.

If you go to Hanazono Shrine, you should go in autumn when the autumn foliage is beautiful. I recommend taking the shuttle bus from Isohara station to see the light up event in November. If you decide to go by car, I recommend taking the Joban highway. If you don’t get lost, you’ll arrive in 30 minutes from the Kitaibaraki interchange on the Joban highway.
