I was staying local for an event and called into Hecks Cider, being brought up in the West Country cider was always a firm favourite.
I happily took my two 5 litre containers in and was greeted in a warm manner, I spied that they had Kingston Black…wow it was at least 25 years ago I had it.
I was given a generous sample to try and the years just fell away……proper cider how I remember it.
I came away very happy my only regret is that I live an hour away……But I will be back.

Popped in to have a look and ended up trying a variety of Cider and Perry.

The man and who I presume was his son where very friendly. The younger man showed me around the apple press after I expressed interest in the process of making cider.

I was offered a variety of different ciders to try with no pressure of purchasing, I must have tried around 10 different varieties.

I walked away with a 4L container of cider, 2L container of Perry, some apple juice, lemon and lime juice and a selection of cheeses.

They seemed genuinely passionate about their business and I recommend a visit.

There are a lot of cider farms in Somerset but this one is right up there. I visited to buy the dry cider but also ended up buying cheese, apples and really fresh eggs. Whether you are local or from far away, you really should visit Hecks to try and buy some great cider and perry.

Happened to find a lovely farm shop and cider farm while staying in Street. The man who served us was really helpful and we tried lots of Ciders before deciding which to buy. Also bought some delicious cheeses, chutneys and pork scratchings too! We were in heaven. Looking forward to tucking in. If you are nearby go and visit and support local

My partner and I had been in Street for the afternoon for some shopping and had seen the sign for the cider farm as we had arrived. We decided once we were done shopping that we would have a look in at the farm and were not disappointed! We were received with a warm welcome and got to sample some of the great tasting cider. Really pleased with our purchases and will definitely return if ever we are back in the area!

Thought the sat nav was wrong as it took us through a housing estate but it got us there....a great find with lots of old wooden barrels at the back of a traditional farmhouse shop. Huge range of ciders which you're very welcome to taste before you buy, and not expensive either! Took a number of jerry cans back with us, and will definitely be back next time!

Great place of olde world cider makers, Also great for vegetables and cheese.
The service is very good try before you buy!! Excellent range of award winning ciders!
The only drawback is parking! I prefer to park down the road and walk in then its easy.

The Hecks Farm shop in Street stocks a range of traditionally made farmhouse ciders, single variety ciders (including the oddly named slack-ma-girdle), perry, and non-alcoholic apple juices, which are all produced from the harvests in their nearby orchards. Alongside the cider there are various other things to buy: vegetables, fruit, jams, preserved goods, mustards etc., and prices are reasonable. It's a local family business, that has been around for generations (6 I think), and although I am not the biggest cider fan, I took the mother in law there yesterday to take a few goodies back to her home in North Wales. She was a refugee in the 2nd WW, and based in Somerset so places like this bring back happy memories.
