As part of the future creation of a tourist site on Gozo, my team and I tested the island's flagship activities. In Hondoq, we rented a boat without a license for two hours, capable of accommodating four people. The weather was a little unpredictable, but we said to ourselves that if the activity was available, then there was no danger. “Danger” I don’t know, but what is certain is that the service provider should have taken it easy that day. Between Gozo and Comino, the waves almost transformed our trip into a remake of “Titanic” Mediterranean version. Result: a few dents and scratches, nothing dramatic, but we hadn't planned to spend the day playing human bowling on our boat. After 45 minutes, we judged that the experience had sufficiently enriched our article (and our office anecdotes), and we returned without having dropped anchor or really enjoyed the ride (€60 for 2 hours in the mountains Russian nautical attractions, the attraction is expensive). Back at the base, we pass the usual inspection. Everything is in order, except that the person in charge points out to us that white paint is missing from the propeller. And presto, 130€ more. However, we had respected all the instructions and taken care of the boat. Our objective being to test incognito providers for our site, we didn't make too much of a fuss, but the pill had difficulty passing.
In summary, this activity can be pleasant with good weather, without children and with another provider. “Joyride” offered us thrills, certainly, but we were hoping for something a little less… chaotic!
