If you are looking for a place to quickly pray and reflect while on the trip to Guimaras, this is a good place. It is small but has this serene feel. It also has the pasalubong and cafe right beside it so very convenient.

The Brothers here do wonderful work. The Church is presently having additions built. Mthe existing structure was consecrated in 1997 and is very simple inside. The gift shop has famous Trappist products. Please support this community of 22 who pray for us all so much.

We had the best coffee and the best hot chocolate here. The staff is very friendly. Recommended time to visit - in the afternoon. The souvenir shop is also worth a visit. The prices are lower than anywhere else on the island (for the same products, of course).

The Monastery islocated in a vast compound in the municipality of Jordan, Guimaras. From the road one can already see several structures inside specially the church known as "Our Lady of the Philippines Trappist Abbey". The church is a small but the place is very quiet and serene. The monks here follow the rule "for then are they monks in truth, if they live by the work of their hands". That is why the monastery produces several products to sustain their work and church. A pasalubong center/gift shop is located in another building nearer the road. Shirts, dried mangoes, souvenir items, religious items, and many more can be found for sale. If you are lucky, you can see one of the monks manning the store.

The Trappist Monastery is part of the Religious Tourism Circuit of Guimaras. Those who want some peace and quiet can take a rest at their church, which is IG-worthy btw or one can have a chat with the brothers and give their prayer requests. For tourists, you will enjoy their pasalubong center; they have a processing center, which income supports the mission of the Trappist Order in PH and the world. Now, those who want to relax or just take a break from long travel can enjoy the coffee and pastries served at Cafe Hildegarda (the patron saint of herbs). Their barrister developed a mango coffee laté and other mango-laced pastries. They have nice toilets, too. If you want to attend their mass and see the monks, if I remember it correctly it’s every 5:30 AM of Sunday.
