Walked 4 miles to this lighthouse only to find it’s covered in graffiti and the paint is all chipped Yes it has wonderful views etc but someone needs to repaint it a clean white colour (I know that nobody can stop the graffiti) but it...More

This lighthouse seems to feature in many postcards and tourist industry photos for Kefalonia. It looks lovely from a distance, but when you get there, the paintwork is crumbling and it is covered in graffiti, much of it about depression! It is a shame that...More

Every time i come to the island, I will spend at least one evening sitting by the lighthouse watching the sun set behind the hills behind Lixouri. Even with a few other people there (which is only occasional), it is incredibly relaxing to sit and...More

I realise that the economy of Greece has suffered in recent years but a lick of paint doesn’t cost much. We walked around the coast to see the lighthouse, waterwheel and geologic pools around Lassi on road to Argostoli. It’s embarrassing to think some people...More

I would not go out of my way to just visit this. Fortunately we came across it during a long walk on the coastal road.

Sat on a peninsula of the headland around Argostoli, The Lighthouse of Saint Theodoroi can be seen quite clearly from land and water. On closer inspection, like many old building it has been spoiled by graffiti. You do however get a great view of Argostoli...More
