This is the second time we have booked accommodation through Avalon Travel. This time we came back to Cephalonia to get married and the gorgeous Nickolette, stamo and Mark took such good care of us and our family and friends whilst we were here. Nothing was to much trouble, they sorted out coach hire for us and our party to and from the airport and to the location of our wedding on the day. The apartments were clean and well kept, we cannot recommend Avalon travel highly enough. Thank you so much. Paul and Hilary.

Review of: Myrtos Beach
It was quite a long drive from where we were staying but worth the effort. Unbelievably turquoise sea although quite difficult to get out of on the day we were there, and very simplistic. Just sun umbrellas/beds (not expensive) and one fairly basic cafe.

Review of: Myrtos Beach
We spotted the beach on the way back from Fiskardo to Argostoli, it was on our list of things to do so we stopped off. The weather was not sunniest it had been as it was later in the day, however the view of the beach from the top of the cliff was incredible, I actually think it was the most beautiful beach id seen in Kefalonia. However, eventually found a way down to the beach and was a little disappointed. It seemed very dirty. I decided to test the temperature of the water without shoes and I had to come back as the pebbles were far too sharp and definitely require sea shoes. Not only that but there is a ridge of pebbles which are fairly steep to climb getting in and out of the water especially with no shoes! I know Nicholas Cage and Penelope Cruz have been on this beach when filming Captain Corellis Mandolin and that made it special as it is truly stunning if prepared! There are shops and sun beds and showers but we didn't need to use anything. Plenty of restaurants around Myrtos Beach. It definitely is one to see but just BRING SEA SHOES :)

We have been to both places on many occasions. The Drogarati cave is my daughter’s favourite place in Kefalonia. To enter the cave and lake can take a while occasionally if the tourist coaches are unloading their tourists. The cave is not disable friendly, however expect they would manage the situation with a bit of effort on their part. The lake is good and tip the boat rower during the lap of the lake. The rower will typically take lots of pictures for you if asked.

Review of: Myrtos Beach
Hard to get to this beach if you wake up at 11 in the morning. But it's a dream beach if you watch it from above. Not so much beautiful once you get there, since the water is not crystal clear.
