Just returned from a fantastic 10 nights in Cascais. Found this surf school be accident walking along Guincho beach. They made us feel so welcome from day one. We booked a private surf lesson and Jose arrived. What an amazing teacher!! My daughter became hooked and she had a private lesson everyday with Jose, 9 in total. Not only did we see massive improvement but we looked forward each day to his cheerful chats and he was always so enthusiastic and encouraging.
We are now home but planning our next visit. Thank you so all at Wanted Surf School for making us feel so welcome. A big massive thank you to Jose for being such an amazing teacher and such a great person.

It was my first surf lesson and it was so great! When I booked the lesson the school was super flexible, available and with a very fast and effective communication.. and the lesson was really fun , the instructor was great and very helpful, I really had an amazing time . Next time that I will be in Portugal I will for sure book other lessons here and I already look forward to it ! Marika

Can't recommend these guys more highly.
I have not surfed for over 10 years and even then was only a few lessons and getting up was almost impossible. So I didn't have high expectations of being able to do it, just to have some fun. Well turns out I can get up and that has to be thanks to the patience and clarity of instruction from the team that are full of energy and a desire to help you just do it.
I'm lucky enough to live in Portugal and I'm now thinking... Maybe I could learn to do this at least we'll enough to be able to surf alone. Who knows. But I'll be back and I'm grateful for the motivation.

Theres a pizza waiting for you at Meio Italiano in Figueiro Dos Vinhos and maybe even a paddleboard afternoon.....

We were two friends who had never surfed before. The people who worked there took good care of us, and explained everything really good. Will defiently come back here next time I’m surfing!

You should definitely do surfing with this school! Although it was my first time ever, I truly enjoyed it. Surf instructors guide you throughout all the lesson. They took us from the train station as well. Special thanks to Thomas!

Looking for a surf school can be a daunting task as there are so many. My daughter and her friends joined this school 4 months ago. They elected to surf through the winter because they love it so much. They are very happy with their instructor Bernado Barosa but all the instructors are professional and fun. The school has two locations at Guincho and Carcavelos which means they can surf in almost all conditions. I can highly recommend this school they are a pleasure to work with. We are new to Portugal and only speak english, it is certainly not a problem at all.

We are planning a trip to Carcavelos, my wife and I. My wife is a beginner surfer and this school was recommended to me. So I called the number they have on their website.
They answered quickly, but the minute I started talking in English, they told me that they don’t speak English, ( their website says that they speak many languages). So I was surprised.
I called again the next day, and I again I got the same reply. No English! That’s when I asked if I can speak to someone else and inquire about their courses. They man became very rude and shouted at me in Portuguese. I did not understand what he said but it did not sound nice. He then transferred the phone to a girl who did not even greet me, but told me in English to pay first 10 euros for some kind of registration. I told her that I was calling from abroad and that I just wanted to inquire about a specific course on their website. I did not want to register just yet. She said , sorry ! I cannot help you ! And put the phone down on me!
Really ? This is how you treat customers?? I ended up calling 2 more local surf schools and both were very polite and gave me all the information I wanted in English and for free!! Don’t recommend this place ! Very rude!!!!

It’s really sad that your review is only written after a negative and truthful review in the restaurant Bravo in Siargao, Phillipines where you are Manager and Chef. Of course this review is false because you never contacted us and is just the way you found to revenge.
We already reported this review to TripAdvisor exposing all the situation and hoping that the review would be deleted.

WANTED SURF SCHOOL is highly recommended!
I’ve never tried to surf before in my life & I was so sure that I’m scared of waves & cold water...but after my first class I fell in love with this beautiful sport!
In WANTED SURF SCHOOL magic happens to everyone everyday during the whole year !
When you take your very first wave - literally understand that you’d never be the same!
Best teachers helps you to understand how to behave in water and on the board. The most important thing that you always feel support, safeness and professional control of your coach.
Always clean & qualitative equipment for surfing (wetsuits, well prepared surfboards (for different levels of your abilities).
You can take group lessons & private as well.
Of course, classes are held on amazing beaches ! I was lucky to surf on Guincho & Carcavelos Surf Beaches!
You can also buy branded hoodies or T-shirt’s (or other nice staff) as the best souvenir in a memory of you surf experience in Portugal!📍🇵🇹
And the last & best thing that you’re always smiling & having fun! ! !
For sure you will make new friends from all over the world & become a part of a huge Wanted Surf School Family!

3 days of surfing. 3 days of pure awesomeness. From beginner to intermediate. Catching waves with helpful teachers/friends, can't get any better than that.
