My women's outdoor club had never hiked on a glacier before. Guides, Camille and Paige picked us up in a van at our hotel and sized our footwear (cramp-ons) and we headed out on the trail for Root Glacier. They provided excellent info on the history of the area and wildflowers blooming during our walk. They also pointed out the... More

Fabulous backcountry ski adventure on the Baldwin Glacier! Location was spectacular. Guides (Tim and Anja) were awesome. Equipment was great. Food, logistics, flights - all organised by the super efficient team at the Motherlode Powerhouse.

This is an excellent tour. Guide was very knowledgeable in the history, spoke clearly, loud enough for all to hear. Tour walk took just around 2 hours, ( which is what they tell you. ) If you have any questions, "just ask". The staff in the tour office were all smiles and fun to talk with. They have shuttles for... More

Did a guided glacier hike one day and a guided tour of the Kennicutt Mill another day. We had Chris both days and he was excellent. Very knowledgable and a great talker. Well worth the time and expense.

My honey and I just got done with a day-long raft led by Sarah & Robin. It was nothing short of incredible! The guides were fun, skilled, helpful, and full of interesting stories and tidbits. They made us a lunch buffet with fruit, veggies, and lots of options for sandwiches. Then when it was time to head back to McCarthy... More

Hello Alby, We're so glad you had a great time yesterday and thanks for the super review! Come back any time! If you don't mind, would you please post the same review on the Copper Oar Rafting TripAdvisor page? My son (11) and I took a brief trip from our home in Colorado to alaska just to do a glacier backpacking trip. It was just the two of us in the group and we had an outstanding time. The guide was patient with us, as it was our first backpacking trip. We have the best weather a person could... More

Glacier trekking with Chris - a truly pleasant experience. Everything is explained very clearly during the briefing before the tour begins so you know how the tour will run. Chris made sure everyone had the correct gear and clothing for the day. You will learn the history of the glaciers and have an opportunity to view the beauty of the... More

I spent 7,5 weeks in Alaska and started out with St Elias 7 day backpacking trip "a journey to oz" and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the hole trip. It had it all, lovely weather, river & glacier crossings, summits, beautiful scenery, bush flight and amazing food. The guides Anya and Jason C were super... More

During my AK trip planning, I was researching the Wrangle National Park and came across this company offering ice climbing. I wasn't sure my wife would go for it but she did and it was fantastic. Be prepared, it's an all day glacier hike with several opportunities to stop and climb and the great thing is, the guides are really... More
