We have visited Peggy's Cove many, many times over the decades and it has gotten progressively more crowded over the years. However, we are willing to tolerate the crowds, especially on a gorgeous day, simply because it is such an awesome site. It is easy to simply park yourself on a bench and look out over the ocean and watch... More

Just a fantastic place to visit. The drive to and from the lighthouse is fantastic also. An absolute tourist "must do"!

Kind of a must do/expectation if you visit Halifax. We were there in early morning and it was very windy and foggy so I don't think I got the full experience/view. I imagine it would not be too endearing in tourist season but there were only 2 other people there so we had the rocks to ourselves which was great

This here was worth it!!! and our high light of the Nova Scotia trip. Firstly, make sure you wear comfortable shoes and be-careful with small children. Secondly, make sure to go down behind the light house. There are souvenir shops, and a small village on the way up and a gift shop with restaurant near the light house. It might... More

I LOVE Peggy's Cove. It's not very big but it's a hit! I love exploring and hiking across the rocks. Distance is deceiving here. Something that looks close can actually be quite a walk to get to. It's lovely. I've been on a foggy day and a sunny day and both are equally nice. (Although, sunny days are obviously preferred... More

A great spot to visit during the off season, during summer it's like a zoo here, avoid it at that time to keep your sanity! The bus tours are nutty, and its near impossible to get a good shot of the lighthouse or fishing harbour at this time. March to April anf Oct to November are the best times to... More

The cove itself is scenic and interesting. The rocks at the lighthouse are interesting to walk on, but there wasn't much activity when I was there. Little in the way of birds, and two boats, even though it was only 8 a.m.

The view here is incredible and heart opening. However, it is the energy of the ocean blasting these boulders that took my breath away. With the awareness that someone in the past year recently died getting too close to the waters edge, I had a deep reverence for Mother Nature and her Power and just how insignificant we humans are.... It has been 35 years since I visited Peggy's Cove and it is still beautiful. Probably the best thing is it is not commeralized. No fast food joints thank God. The drive to Peggy's Cove is very scenic. Many places to stop and take pictures. Well worth the return visit.

If you are in the area, then it is a must to visit this little lively cove., as it is supposed to be one of Nova Scotia's most famous tourist spots. The bare rocks are very picturesque, this is a working fishing village and you see the fishing boats go in and out of the cover, you can venture at... More
