It is a popular tourist spot. So much so, we just drove through negotiating the cars and tourists. Better to come during off season. There are two memorials for Swissair Flight 111 close by. One is one kilometre north of Peggy's Cove, the other is near Bayswater Provincial Park on the opposite side of St. Margaret's Bay from Peggy's Cove.... More

Loved the town and Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. The single family homes leading to the lighthouse are what I anticipated a Nova Scotia fishing village to look like. Liked Peggy's Cove so much better than Lunnenberg. Lunnenberg was so touristy and Peggy's Cove was the real deal. The rock formation surrounding the lighthouse is a fun walk and skip experience. This is a must see when in NS!! Gorgeous, scenic views! Pictures do not do this place justice!! Go early to avoid too many tourists. Take your time to take it all in.

A Nova Scotian warned me that it is too touristy but there's a good reason. It is so picturesque, not only the lighthouse but the whole little community. I'm glad we went.

I arrived just before sunset, there were lot of people about, but the views were very impressive that typical East Coast scenery. The village is very quaint and nice to walk around and see the many views. Check out the Sou'Wester restaurant and the monument which is located on your way out of town, just as you ascend the hill... More

The lighthouse, the rocks and the ocean splashing and crashing into the rocky shoreline. Brilliant views. it would be even more magical if you catch wither the sunrise or the sunset. Photographers dream location. In short this is a must see attraction if you are in Halifax and near about.

You can't beat the rocky shoreline and beautiful lighthouse along Peggy's Cove. We went mid day and it was quite busy but the views made up for it. I'd go again.

Peggy's Cove is so beautiful. It is a MUST SEE if you are in the area. I could spend hours walking around on the rocks around the lighthouse. Just pay attention to the signs about not walking on the black rocks...watched a girl take a nasty spill on a black rock. Absolutely gorgeous!

Take a walk through the fishing village and experience the largely untouched idyllic way of life. Thank God that this place hasn't turned into a Tourist Trap as it would take away so much from the Iconic Scenery. The village is not too large and should take 1-2 hours to walk and take in what makes the Maritime provinces so... More

Great fishing village; picturesque, locals very friendly and helpful; great local artist behind restaurant, and of course lobster rolls. About an hour out of the city but definitely worth the trip!
