This iconic lighthouse is definitely worth the visit with waves crashing in behind it. We visited in October which was great because of smaller crowds, must be very busy in the summer. It was foggy the day we visited but the fog lifted on our...More

Although this isn't my type of "thing", I am glad to be able to say I have "been there, done that!" What else to say? A beautiful locale, to look at the ocean and take in the Maritimes beauty.

This was one of my favorite stops on our cruise. This little village and its beautiful lighthouse were so picturesque. It was like something out of a movie -but very real. We lucked out and had an amazing day out at the Cove. I would...More

This was the first lighthouse that we had seen in Canada and we thought that it was wonderful. Beautifully maintained and easy walking track to get to it. The major problem was how busy it was. I have never seen so many tourists buses in...More

A must do when visiting Atlantic Canada. I gre up in Nova Scotia but now live in Australia and it’s always a must visit when back home. Recently brought my in-laws from Ireland there and they really enjoyed the views.

The lighthouse is really beautiful, as long as you are careful and do not step on the "black rocks" you can get pretty clear to the ocean for some nice pictures of the coast. The city itself is also very charming. Perfect place for some...More

Oh what a wonderful place this would be without tourists. It really gives off a distinct Maritime feel, and when nobody is clicking cameras and yelling things in foreign languages, the seagulls are singing and the waves are crashing, and it is really a beautiful...More

What more can you say, iconic Canadian site! Beautiful in it's own right....... But there is not much else there. Had expected an inn or a few restaurants, a decent gift shop or two. Went on a day that was stormy and it was beautiful!!

We went in Sept. From pictures I would guess 1- you can certainly visit there. 2- it certainly won't be crowded and 3 - it almost most certainly will be cold & icy! If we lived closer - my wife & I would definitely... More

I frankly would not miss it but one always has the chance of fog or rain even if the weather is nice in Halifax.

Yes, its an outdoor experience with the cliffs and the lighthouse. Very beautiful. I recommend bringing a jacket as I was there in August and the wind could get pretty chilly :) The restaurant and souvenir booth might have... More
