It does look like the photos and brochures! Quite windy and depends on the tides, could be slippery to traverse the rocks. Definitely a Canadian landmark! Crowded when we visited.

Last week Sept 15th our Carnival Sunshine cruise ship stopped in Halifax and we had a tour booked w/Halifax Taxi Tour Guys to go to Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. So off we went on our scenic drive. Peggy's Cove is a Beautiful Light house which sits Majestically atop massive boulder rocks along the ocean inlet shore front. Its a very pretty... More

Funny to say, but if you have the chance to have fog when you'll go there, it's more special. You walk on the rocks near by and suddenly you hear one of those pipes players playing Amazing Grace, you'll get chicken pox. This place has to be seen once in a life time. Nice souvenir shop where you can can... More

Peggy's Cove almost doesn't look real. The area has only low scrub and massive boulders and rocks as the soil has worn away. The cove itself, with colorful boats and lobster pots, is lovely and the various shops wonderful. Do take a walk away from the bus stop/lighthouse area and visit the boutiques and the cove itself. The lighthouse is... More

This is my second time here. I brought my Daughter here and showed her where I brought her Mom 35 years ago. It hasn't changed much but there was a Post Office in the Lighthouse years ago. .We had lunch and visited the shops nearby.

So looking forward to seeing this spot and could not be more disappointed. The area was saturated with tour buses hauling people off the cruise ships from Halifax. Unless you were on one of those buses, you would be hard pressed to find a place to park when we arrived about 10:00am. We did take the time to talk to... More

We visited Peggy's Cove today and the weather was not very good. The lighthouse itself is not open to visitors and is an automated, working lighthouse. The views from the lighthouse would have been really amazing if the weather had been nice!

located 50 miles from the Halifax cruise terminal. Roads are VERY windy and you need to take precautions if your get motion sickness. Cute shops. Visit Hal's and have a best picture location with the lighthouse in the background.

I've always loved going to Peggy's Cove ever since I was little, and no matter how many times I go out there, it's still a great time. The rocks are so fun to climb on (just stay off the black rocks close to the shore), also unique in all the world. The view of the ocean and the whole shore... More

I was in Halifax for business and a trip to Peggy's cove was on the agenda. I almost didn't go because it was such an overcast afternoon and evening but I decided to go anyway and I'm so glad I did. It's about a 30 minute drive from the Halifax harbor where I was staying. Very easy to get to... More
