The Harborfront area is very upbeat and has a nice vibe. There are many restaurants and even a few fast casual places and bars. The "wheel" is a large ferris wheel with small enclosed cabins that seems to be popular. There is a very nice Carousel for the kids too. They have activities each night including a large screen for... More

This is a nice place to visit for a nice and relaxing weekend or even for just set one day. In proximity to Md! Va, and DC!,, beautiful looking at the water and nite light!, there is a ferry that goes to VA and the ride is so nice and mellow. Worth the trip and stay over night.

Spent a week here for a conference and very much enjoyed that everything was within walking distance from the Gaylord hotel. There appears to be a central area for family used and also a play area by the Potomac River area. It also appears to be very safe and well patrolled.

I was attending a week long meeting at the Westin Hotel in National Harbor earlier this month. I'd been to National Harbor once or twice before for day trips only never having spent much time there. Between meetings and afterwards I had a chance to see most of it and sample some of the many, many restaurants that are available.... More

I enjoyed strolling along the water, people watching with lots of options for good libation and food selections. The Navy band played a few jazzy songs, as we watched the beautiful sunset. Perfect spot for a perfect day.

I'm not sure but I suspect National Harbor was built solely for tourism and conventions. There are motels, restaurants, and shops but no houses, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. The whole place has an artificial feel to it. That being said, it's quite pleasant for a short stay. The harbor area is neat, clean, and has good things to see... More

We walked all around the harbor area leading up to dusk. About that time is when the nightlife in the area picks up. Parking at the garage was very reasonable considering the area. Upscale restaurants and shops abound. Great photo ops. I purchased tickets online for the Ferris wheel, which we rode at 10:30 pm. What a view. All in... More

I had never been here before and was pleasantly surprised. The area is very nice. There are plenty of restaurants and shops, though seem mostly geared towards tourists. We had breakfast at the Walrus, which was good, but opted for dinner twice out of the area. There is a large convention center there, so I gather that most of the business... More
