An outstanding hotel and spa
Feb 2019
My husband and I spent some days here in February. We were both delighted 100%. The staff is most friendly and efficient, the food quite good, and the thermal waters a pleasure. My only criticism was that during the week the spa itself was a bit cold - although it was warmed up for the weekend crowd.

I just needed some time off

This is a SPA Hotel. And they mean it. A historic monastery in the the Spanish wine country of Ribera Del Duero has “converted to a 5 stars SPA Hotel”. If you are in the area of Valladolid, Spain. It is well worth it to visit. If you are a SPA resort aficionado, put it on your bucket list. I happened to be in the area on business with a dead week end on my hands, and decided to spend it there. Very well worth it. Rooms, service, staff, food and obviously wine. Farm to table wines.
The Spa experience is unreal. Extremely professional and rejuvenating. Pictures are from my drone.

A beautiful hotel deserving better staff
Aug 2018 • Family
This has been the 2nd time we stayed in this beautiful Monasterio. The premises, the reconstruction, the museum, the history behind it is absolutelly phenomenal. However, for the 2nd time (2017+2018), we booked 2 junior suites and were given 2 double standard rooms, instead. We made a formal complaint last year and again this last August. This year's subdirector is not there all the time and, in spite of having talked to us, he took no action. The Spa is a must, fully equipped and large, as is the outside pool, although smaller. The Spa treatments are wonderful, but the price goes with the luxury of the hotel. We have stayed at Olmedo, also a must, and the prices are much more inviting. The Cafeteria menu is very limited and lacks interest, whereas the restaurant is not an alternative, quality or price-wise. I love salmorejo and ordered that every evening - only one time was I given salmorejo; as I am a tourist, anything similar to a bad gazpacho would leave me content, they assumed... Last but not the least, the pigsty nearby is apparently nothing the hotel can do against, but when the wind changes, it is really disgusting, specially if you wish to be outside having a drink or simply walking around.

Incredible!
Oct 2017
The whole place is beautiful, well preserved and/or restored architecture.
The bedroom is great, very good mood for couples, not so much for kids. The swimming pool and the spa are the highlight.
Very well located for visiting the Ribera del Duero bodegas.

An unexpected gem

Whether as a romantic getaway, to explore Castile and its monuments, or tasting wonderful Ribera de Duero and even Rueda wines, it is worth the stay.
