This war memorial in Bender is considerably smaller than that to be found in Tiraspol. There's not that much of excitement here but you can have a quick look before heading over to the fortress.

It is classic military memorial / show piece. Yet you always have to walk through it, if you understand the written word on memorials or not. Maybe just to remind yourself. If you're in the neighbourhood take a few minutes to walk through.

The memorial square is well maintained- nothing out of place. The memorial square includes: tank monument, eternal flame, chapel and memorial cross, Alexandr Lebed monument, and memorial wall with plaques of names of those who lost their lives from the Afghan War to the conflict with Moldova.

It's a bit difficult to get close to this memorial to actually see it and appreciate what it represents, as it sits in between two high traffic roads.

Quite a large area with various memorials (including one for Chernobyl). Near the bottom end is an eternal flame and tank. A quiet area good for a wander.

This memorial is to commemorate the people which lost their life during the war some years ago.
The site is quite large and well maintained in order to preserve the memory.

A spacious square with plaques commemorating lives lost. There is a tank and also an eternal flame within the square. The monument of the back wall is quite nice too. It's an easy walk and worth a short stroll.

Mother Moldova watches over this square with the names of war victims, including children from several wars. You'll want to stop by just because you are there

This memorial is located in Bender, the second largest city of Transnistria. This memorial has a long sad history that you can study and reflect on your visit. A place of deep patriotic value.
