Dogsledding daytime

The Alaskan Huskys will great you with excited barking and friendly attitude, willingly pulling the sled into the valley of Skibotn. We will travel through the pine tree wood and into the beautiful white mountains. We will have a perfect view to the extraordinary mountain range, The Lyngen Alps.

When you come to Skibotn by bus, you will get outdoor clothes, shoes, mittens and headwear.
Experienced dog mushers will give you instructions on how to drive a dog sled. You will drive in pairs, one driver and one passenger on the sled. You can switch during the ride.

The trip will last for 1,5 – 2 hours. We will have a quick break halfway, where you will get the opportunity to take pictures, change drivers, and cuddle the dogs. When you come back to the camp you will get a hot meal, fresh mountain spring water, and a drink of coffee or tea. After the meal the bus will take you back to Tromsø. (If you booked another experience with us, the guide will pick you up after the meal.)

From the stunning scenery, the great food and service and amazing dogsledding experience, this is not a trip to be missed. The drive from Tromso is along beautiful fjords. We were able to meet the dogs, and drive our own sleds through the forests, as well as riding snowmobiles. Tomas was accommodating, and everything was provided. Would definately recommend!!

This warm, family-run business offers Snow Mobile adventure and Husky Sledging adventures that are of a superb standard of quality. Tomas Nyheim Lambela and his gorgeous family are hands on with all activities and are generous with their time and knowledge. They take care about the little things such as clean, warm clothing and well maintained snow mobiles and healthy cared-for huskys, that it all adds to the good feeling and memorable experience. Not to mention the amazing area that includes woods and a trail that borders Finland, Norway and Sweden. The close warm hearted family draws you in and time passes so quickly in their presence. I would definitely return for more adventures... perhaps an overnight or mini husky sledge trip to Finland, Sami territory; or more snow mobile safari’s. Thank you Tomas, to you and your beautiful and smart wife and children, for making our adventure memorable! 💕
