The Ayuntamiento Building was built in the 16th century by Antonio del Corro, the Inquisitor of Seville, as his house. He was born in San Vicente de la Barquera. The architecture is Renaissance with Plateresque decoration. The building was constructed with masonry. The main door has a lintel with a triangular pediment. There are three balconies and the coat of arms of the Corro family on the facade. Today the building is used as the City Hall.

This tiny City Hall is located in the 13th century building between the historic Cathedral and the Castle along the path (High Street) connecting the two. Picturesque.
