This place and its surroundings was already pretty unique. (Near Oyambre beach, on the Santiago Pilgrim Route, golf course designed by Seve Ballesteros). Now, it's even better, with careful work on the course and the clubhouse. If you're a golfer staying in Cantabria or passing through, I'd definitely recommend you play here. After your round, lunch on the clubhouse terrace overlooking holes 9 and 18 is reasonably priced and good quality.

This golf course was fantastic, also the clubhouse serves up some lovely food and the hospitality in general was very good, including the lady in the pro shop

As most already know this course is very closely linked with the great Sevvy. The reason we played there was because if this link. With the par fives fours and threes evenly split there is interest from every tee. The course is very hilly and unless you enjoy being out of breath or are a very fit 25 year old, hire a buggy. Unfortunately the bunkers had been badly damaged by a storm and were "ground under repair" and unplayable which didn't sit well with us. This fact then makes you look at the course in a negative way. However the fairways were fine and the greens ok too. The design focuses on accuracy off the tee more than length. Luckily we were joined by Ramon from Santander who, knowing the layout, was able to explain each hole. We were given a really good course plan each which I keep as a reminder/ momento. Every one there was helpful and the club house really nice and warm. I am glad that I played the course which is well designed considering the terrain, but to be honest I do not feel the need to return.

Located in the natural reserve park of Oyambre this stunning course is as challenging as any of Seve's designs. Get ready to sharpen your long irons and be bold with your 3 wood. The course is carved into mountains, swamp areas and farm fields. Your bound to see and hear cows pasturing as you play in this incredible natural paradise. This is probably one of the most singular courses in the north of Spain. The course was closed for 6 months after its prior owners went bankrupt and just re-opened now managed by its previous members and a new influx of avid golfers from the region. Greens are in process of being newly planted. Green fee is reasonable at 35€ in winter weekdays, yet during the summer period and weekends prices are higher. The maintenance is acceptable.
