Great little beach

This is just one of the many beaches in the Abel Tasman National Park. Easy walk in to this beach so take a picnic lunch and enjoy the scenery.

What should have been a beautiful and tranquil beach in a National Park was overtaken by at least 20 water skis, the noise of water skiing all day long and the smell of diesel. I was surprised this was allowed in a National Park.

A quiet bay, swimming is safe and welcome after a long walk. Waters lapping and clear: ideal picnic spot too: only sad thing is that either the boaties or other trampers seem to leave bits of their rubbish behind.. :(

My mother had holidayed here until she was 12, the bay use to be called Astrolab but was renamed after mums family because her father and grandfather built houses here.It is still untouched, only accesable by sea or the walking track. There is a toilet here now and it has a lovely veiw of Adele Island, its golden sand, clear... More
