We loved this garden with its different 'rooms' inside the huge walled garden. Also walked around the park and enjoyed lunch at the cafe. Wish we'd gone on the Friday when we could have got in Free with RHS membership

Only had time to go round the walled garden, but helpful staff suggested the best route round. Wonderful planting in all the different 'rooms' and overall an amazing experience. Slightly disappointed the view from the mound over the garden was obscured by the trees. Will...More

Thank you for your review. It is definitely worth coming back later in Autumn for a better view from the Mount, the grasses are also spectacular at this time of year.

This was a afternoon visit to the walled garden only. It was lovely to see the different gardens with their differing moods. Well kept and tended with a good cafe/restaurant. A splendid way to spend a relaxing couple of hours

These gardens are well worth a visit. Designed by Piet Ouldof they have to be the best in the area. Each section is a thing of beauty in its own right. The silent garden is my favourite although the waves of grasses are truly inspiring.

Slightly limited menu - sandwiches, soup, paninis cakes etc but lovely tasty food. Not the cheapest place to eat but well worth paying for the quality of the food. Bacon and brie panini was probably the best I have had.More

Hi Rose, Scampston is still privately owned, and lived in by the family. It is a member of the Historic Houses Association, so HHA members get free entry. Thanks, Izzy
