Totally different to how they advertise the show. Miming to sound tracks, many didn't know the words just open and closed their mouths, don't waste your money left at interval, just as you were offered to have your photo taken with few of the dancers on your own phone at a cost of £4 . Total disappointment.

We were all really disappointed with this show, (Brighton) wasn’t worth the money and wouldn’t bother with it again. It was amateurish, very poor lip syncing and lots of fake smiles. They could also do with replenishing their stock of tights so they don’t have to wear ones with holes in!! The man from the audience was obviously a set up and could really have done without seeing him with his top off! Some of the costumes where amazing, some really not so.

Nothing like advertised, a lot of dancing about, not in time with each other, very poorly miming to artists tracks. No talking or announcing acts. When dancers didn't know the words they moved their mouths about. Worst show I've ever seen. Costumes were ripped and the tights need replacing as they had more holes than a packet of polo's. Left at half time it was so poor.

Don't arrive at the brighton venue expecting to be sat together. All they're interested in is filling seats so if you go as a crowd of more than 6 you will be sat at different tables with others that have also booked. The show itself is spectacular!!!

I have seen the Ladyboys many times in the last 17 years but they are now definitely wilting. Lacklustre performances and poor set. They used to be spectacular. A word of warning though to anyone with photosensitivity. The Boys are now selling flashing merchandise. Although I was third row from the front there was a 60 plus woman in front of me with a flashing pink tiara who refused to take it off for me as it would ruin her night. The manager of The Corn Exchange King's Lynn said there was nothing she could do, so I had to swap seats to an upper tier and watch the show away from my friends half hiding behind my bag and nursing a migraine. Not the evening I expected.

Was given complimentary tickets for this show (20/10/18) myself, my sister and my 18 yr old daughter .on arrival we were asked for ID for her which to be fair we forgot to bring but didn't think this would be an issue as she's seen the show in the kings ( which has a licensed bar ) ..she was denied entry even though she was with her mother and aunt 50, 56. Because they had a licensed bar they totally refused to let her in ..obviously we were disappointed.. we managed to get tickets changed for following Friday so we could bring ID..we returned with this and were told it wasn't her on it and again were refused entry we tried to explain she was only 13 in it they still wouldn't budge.. we left again totally disgusted ..where we to get new id for a once a year show.. come on ladyboys where is your reasoning

Possibly one of the worst and most insufferable displays of bad taste and amateurism I have seen in a long while. Dancers...I mean walkers...looked uninterested, tired and were completely out of sync. Miming likewise out of sync. Not funny at all but rather cheap and disgusting. And ffs get rid of the dwarf! Who in their right mind wants to see a dwarf in underwear on a stage? We had enough after an hour and left in the interval.

We are sorry to hear that this year's production of The Lady Boys of Bangkok wasn't to your liking. In the aim of the keeping the show fresh and contemporary for our audiences the show is ever changing, and some years productions may not be to everyone's taste. However, we do believe that the fact the show has been touring for 18 years indicates it is met in a mostly positive light. We sincerely hope this year's experience hasn't deterred you from attending and hopefully enjoying in future tours.

The Lady Boys of Bangkok production, in the tradition of Kathoey shows in Thailand, has always been a lip-synced show. We are sorry that this affected your enjoyment of the performance. We understand completely that you didn't enjoy the show, and we also appreciate that it is subjective, as the Derby Telegraph said this in a recent review "The essence of the show is to provide a stunning visual spectacle and offer the audience a good night out. It certainly lived up to its name with its never-ending supply of beautiful, shimmering awe-inspiring costumes. And if you are willing to let down your hair a little and fully enter into the spirit of things there is no reason not to go away with a smile".

Just saw this in Wakefield and was so bad we came out at the interval. The dancing was uncoordinated and the miming awful. We were hoping to see an exciting glamorous show but everything about it was tacky- and not sure what the little man was there for. As announced before the curtain went up, we all knew the performance was delivered by men but there was nothing impressive about any of them. Agree with another reviewer - it should have been majestic and stunning. Instead it was like a second rate amateur show. Save your money for something better than this.

We are sorry to hear about your experience at our recent performance at the Theatre Royal in Wakefield, we pride ourselves on putting on premier productions and believe this to be the reason we have seen audiences returning throughout the 16 year history of the Lady Boys of Bangkok. It is these 16 years that lead us to try and keep the show contemporary in humour, choreography and music choice and the ever changing nature of the show means that not every year is to everyone's liking. We therefore welcome audience feedback and sincerely hope this experience doesn't deter you from attending future performances.
