Wow! We sat outside this church having a drink and watching a local event in which handmade gardenias were auctioned off at nominal sums to gentlemen who then pinned them onto their ladies. This was a local church fund raising event. We popped our heads inside the church and were overwhelmed by the stunning interior. AMAZING!

The Church of Our Lady of Dawn was built on the site of the shrine to St. Nicasio, the patron saint of Priego and it was completed around 1528.
