- BettyTallinn, Estonia19 contributionsCool picture spotYou can get quite close to the ship, nice place to have a picnic/chill but not much else to it. There are a few cafes nearbys! I recommend going in the morning or sunset, during the day you have to take pictures against the sun, but it’s not that bad.Visited March 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten March 10, 2023
- sally BRedditch, United Kingdom168 contributionsInteresting to see. Free and easy to get toWe loved seeing this shipwreck. It’s free and quite interesting to see. We had never seen a ship wreck this big before and so it was worth the detour! Can park about a 2 minute walk away on the road. No facilities around so take a drink etcVisited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 15, 2023
- Gemma H-JAylesbury, United Kingdom282 contributionsInteresting shop and lovely photo opportunityMy Husband and I brought our son here (10) and my sister (18) and they both had a good time. The shipwreck itself is a lovely photo opportunity and we took the time to look up its history too. You can go into the water around the ship, but it’s steep, and people have previously been warned of going to close because of debris coming from the ship. There’s a lovely little restaurant near by called Oniro by the sea, they sell food and drinks at a reasonable price, and have direct access to the path by the ship.Visited May 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 7, 2023
- Rick WSevenoaks, United Kingdom2,106 contributionsWorth a ten mionute stop - in the morning ideallyI could not resist driving to this spot just north of Coral Bay and easily located with Google maps! The ship is right by the shore, totally wrecked and amazing to see. Worth a selfie!Visited September 2023Traveled soloWritten September 20, 2023

I recall when this ship ran aground. The surrounding coastline was rugged and beautiful but undeveloped. The shipwreck has become such an attraction now that the spot has changed quite a lot with the addition of a great restaurant Oniro but it is still a beautiful sight for photos and to watch the dramatic sunsets.

Beautiful place to visit and best sunset with ship wreck in background for great pictures. We have been her a week and a tour operator lady told us it’s a must visit place. The restaurant was shut on a Monday when we visited but u could still walk along top of caves and get some great views of both sea caves and ship wreck. A hidden gem

The Edro III shipwreck is easy to access. The car can be parked at the parking area of the Oniro by the sea restaurant. It is a beautiful landscape! It is best to visit late in the afternoon if you are visiting it during summer, as the temperature is really high and that does not make the visit convenient. There is something like a metal tent where people can rest; there are no wood benches or anything to sit down apart from the floor. The area, with Edro III shipwreck in the sea is a great place to take pictures.

The shipwreck is very impressive and good for pictures from every side. We even accessed it by walking its a bit of a long journey but its absolutely possible, just take the bus until Coral Bay area and walk around 30-35 minutes to get there. It is nice also to go to the cafe bar next door but make sure you have a reservation before going since the place is quite demanded as it has the views to the shipwreck

A fascinating place to visit with beautiful sea views & the shipwreck-(no lives lost thank goodness when it occurred).
We live nearby & have visited on many occasions with family or friends who have always enjoyed going there.
It’s also a place suitable for walking your dogs- though please clean up after them!
There is also the added bonus of Oniro’s to get a drink or a meal in the summer months.
Make sure you also take your camera for some stunning pictures.
Added bonus of beautiful sunsets.

The closest we have ever been to a shipwreck. It is literally only a few meters from the shore and at sunset allows for some great photo opportunities.
We found free parking close by and one can visit the Paphos sea caves at the same time.

Discovered this whilst out searching for a spot to catch the sunset and what a perfect location it was. The Oniro wasn’t open which probably meant the area was a lot quieter than it may normally be. Even though there were maybe 30+ people about it was such a peaceful surreal setting. The sea is crystal clear here and even though the sun was setting there were still bathers enjoying the location.

Great for a photo stop if your passing or in the area but not worth a massive trek to travel to see it. I thought they might have made more of it or there would have been bars or cafes nearby so you could have sat and had a drink and stayed longer. There was a restaurant a little to the right of the costal path to get to it but it was quite upmarket and very busy.

Can you go swim/snorkel in the sea near the ship ?

yeah, the area is fairly shallow, and there is loads of marine life to see in the area too - wouldn't swim in too close to the shipwreck itself though, as bits are starting to fall off of it!!
