About
The clear waters at Coral Bay are calm and shallow, making it a popular swimming spot, especially among families and beginners. There are lifeguards on duty, and you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas. Snorkelers will enjoy spotting marine life amongst the rocks around the bay, and there are watersports on offer, like windsurfing, hand-gliding, and jet skiing. Rent a paddle boat and enjoy an hour out on the water. Parking is free, and there are shower and restroom facilities. Coral Bay Avenue is lined with restaurants and cafes—visit in the summer months when the weather is warm, but on weekdays for fewer crowds.

- Kiko BrazaoManchester, United Kingdom292 contributionsNot badWell, just a regular sandy beach with 2 support bars who served cold & hot drinks and food. If you wish a sunbed it costs €2 each and an umbrella €2.50, you can also take a bus from Paphos Tombs of the kings to Coral bay, it takes about 40 min and it costs €2 each way. Overall not badVisited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 22, 2024
- LMOxfordshire, United Kingdom8 contributionsClean and good facilitiesPleasantly surprised as seen some reviews which were less than ‘good’. Sunbeds and umbrellas in abundance. We set up on the far side away from the crowded bit by the cafes and watersports. No seaweed in sight at this end, sea was so clear and lovely and warm. Cafe was good cor cool drinks and snacks. Parking easy. Nice day out!Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 19, 2024
- Keith JLlanelli, United Kingdom455 contributionsNice beachMy wife and I visited Coral Bay beach recently, it’s only a ten minute walk past the strip. Two sun beds and an umbrella for 7:5 € we thought was reasonable. The water was clean with some seaweed, but walk further up the beach and there was none. There are also water sports available, also a cafe and toilets. Would visit againVisited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 13, 2024
- Carlo AMilan, Italy295 contributionsPleasant beachIt is a beautiful sandy beach with clean, clear water and less confusion than other beaches on Paphos. The warm enough water, the easy parking, the restaurant of the establishment is not the best, but you just have to go a little 'away from the beach to find better. 2 sunbeds and umbrella 7.5 euros, as in almost all other beaches in Cyprus.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 14, 2024
- Clara CNaples, Italy2,510 contributionsBeautiful but dated beachesVery popular and definitely worth seeing, nice connected by a bus service n 615 that connects the Port to Coral bay (Recommended the penultimate stop) beaches equipped with showers always and bars but very dated, could invest on sunbeds and umbrellas. Fixed price 2.50 per sunbed , offers ideal water sports for those with children , a nice overview. Toilets and changing rooms a little too old. At the center of the basin there is a lido with ball music. For those who want tranquility better the side partsVisited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 18, 2024
- WazzovCarlisle32 contributionsLovely sandy beachesThis review is about Laourou Beach, which is the second of the Coral Bay beaches you come to when heading out of Paphos and is situated next to the bus terminus and the Corallia Beach Hotel. My family and I have been to both beaches and prefer this one because it seems a little quieter, although still busy, and we enjoyed the swimming more there. Most people travel to the beach by bus or taxi. For convenience, groups may prefer the taxi, although it will set you back €25-€35 each way, depending on which beach you go to and whereabouts in Paphos you travel from. Please note that, in summer, the taxi company may ask you to phone them 30 minutes to an hour before you would like picking up on your return journey. The buses are frequent but allow for lots of stops and most tourists will need to change buses at Tombs of the Kings station. The Coral Bay beaches are popular in the Paphos area because they are sandy, whereas most other beaches are pebbly or rocky. The water is also calmer, which is particularly important for those with children. On arrival at Laourou Beach, you’ll probably want a sunbed. There are plenty of these before around 11am, but it does get busier. You will be approached to pay for the sunbeds, which, as others have said, are €7.50 for two (including an umbrella). I don’t think this is bad, because they are then yours for the day if you want them. There are a few rocks around the beach, but they aren’t problematic and do attract fish. In addition, there is a small ‘island’ of rocks (see photo), which I think may have been put there as a breakwater, although the rocks are natural in appearance. These are very interesting for snorkelers as they attract a variety of fish. Most of this stretch of water is shallow enough for an adult to stand in, but there is a brief part where you cannot. The water is also choppier on the far side of the ‘island’, which backs up my breakwater theory! There is a restaurant beside the beach and the staff will ask you if you want a ‘lite bite’ or a full meal. The ‘lite bite’ menu is limited but we enjoyed it because we were happy with burgers and chips for lunch. Service is friendly and quick and the food, although simple, was tasty and inexpensive. There is also a shop which sells chilled bottled water, soft drinks and beer. This was very useful for when your own drinks have lost their chill. I think it also sells snacks and beach toys, but don’t quote me on that! The toilets, showers and changing area are together in the same block as you leave the beach. A tip is to make sure you wash the sand off you and dry off before going for a bus or taxi as you may not be allowed to travel if you’re covered!Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 21, 2024
- Man1cmomWest Midlands, United Kingdom745 contributionsBeautiful.Traveled from Kato Paphos shingle beaches to this beautiful beach, just 25 mins down (up?) the coast. The beach is accessible either down a slope or steps. Plenty of parking if you drive (we had a taxi). Café/kiosk serving snacks/drinks/ice creams each end of the beach and watersports area too. We hired a pedalo, €35 for 1hr. The beach is lovely, the water is warm and quite shallow. The sand is red hot so beware!! We hired beds, 2 beds & parasol €7.50, cash only. It’s well worth a visit!Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 24, 2024
- NatjolLondon, United Kingdom23 contributionsCoral bay glistening beachCoral bay is an extremely busy beach and is very wide and large. It has a little coffee shop on top of the hill and service there is on point and the whole beach has plenty of sun beds and parasols charged at €2.50 per item. However it can be a little bit difficult to get to the water as the sand is excruciatingly hot until you hit the water. You are able to do water sports as well like jet skis and the magic carpet all ranging from €20-60Overall the beach is pretty affordable though and the water is very pretty and glistens in the sun.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 28, 2024
- Sinead NMilton Keynes, United Kingdom21 contributionsBus to Coral BayWe took the bus to Coral Bay and was pleasantly surprised by how many restaurants & bars were on the strip before reaching the beach. The beach was clean and there was plenty of space for those not wanting to rent a sun lounger or parasol (we took our own beach mats). There's a bar at each end so I'd suggest taking your own snacks, a couple of changing cubicles but the toilets were awful! Plenty of parking and water sports activities available.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 18, 2024
- Andrew LLeigh, United Kingdom4,936 contributionsCrystal watersWell worth a visit to this sandy beach. Lots of parasols & sun beds for hire (7.50 for 2 beds and umbrella). A bit busy at times and lots of boat / jet ski activity made it less peaceful. Nevertheless a lovely beach to visit. Stayed there all day twice. Oh and a steam you can dam - family favourite activity when we had kids with us.Visited October 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten October 8, 2024

I was staying at the Hotel “Crown Resorts Horizon” and I walked 5-10 minutes by foot to the beach at Coral Bay. The beach is not too big, but very nice. The water is clear blue and very refreshing. You can rent 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella for 7,50€ for the whole day. Furthermore there is a little bar, as well as showers and toilettes. The staff there is very friendly! For coffee-lovers I can recommend the “Cappucciono Freddo”, it’s great on a hot sunny day.

We took the 615 bus from Blue Atlantica Mare Village, the fare was 1.50 Euro. It was worth making the trip as from our resort we only had access to a small cove but Coral Bay is a long sandy beach and we enjoyed snorkelling in the sea. After the beach, we went and sat in the small cafe which has wonderful views of the bay and they have showers (1 euro) and toilets. This was also quite close to the bus stop for 615.

Monday 10th October and we drove to visit this popular beach, which is rough11 Kilometres north of the city of Paphos.
This was a bit of a reconnaissance mission to see what the place was about and to possibly return another day and spend some time here.
We parked up and walked over to the beach, where a large sign welcomed us to the beach and informed us of the facilities that were available. This included toilets, showers, water sports, WiFi and bars & restaurants.
The crescent shaped white sandy beach stretches along the coast for roughly 600 metres.
It is flanked on both ends by a spit of rocky land that juts out into the sea. These provide protection for the beach and calm crystal clear waters to swim in. To the back of the beach is a rugged headland which is lined with hotels and holiday accommodation which overlook the beach.
The beach had rows and rows of sunbeds and umbrellas to hire, two sun beds and an umbrella were €7.50. These occupied most of the beach and we almost on top of each other so not much personal space.
There was some sandy patches along the beach where visitors can spread out their beach mats and towels.
It was all a bit busy for us so we did not return.

Its exactly the same as when we visited many years ago. We arrived just before 9am. Lots of sun loungers, parasols (for hire) & wooden walkways. Overlooked by a few cafes, bars, restaurants and very much needed wc's. Plenty of hiring including pedalos, canoes, SUBs, jetski's etc. Plus beach changing rooms and also massage pergola's. We did not see paragliding, so im unsure if this still goes ahead.??? The waters are shallow in the cove, clear and on our morning, very peaceful, although from previous visits, this is not always the case and the waves can be strong. Beautiful views as ever. We took our own towels and beach mats. Watched the joggers, walkers and locals and packed up just before lunch to head back to our hotel. The sand is clean and soft, and very hot by lunchtime.
We used the 615 bus coastal bus route. 1.50 euros p.p each way or you can get a 5 euro ticket to hop on and off all day long.
We always return and after this visit, nothing has changed our minds

This little gem of a sandy bay is about 13 km from Papos city. Easy to get to by car and there is a straight bus shuttle service (no 615) from Paphos harbour to the bay. Plenty of parking and two beach beds with umbrella cost 7.5 euros for the whole day. There is a restaurant in the car park and the road leading to the bay parking area is lined with restaurants and cafes. Safe bay for swimming with clear waters. Lifeguard on duty.

This is a very nice beach for a relaxing day by the sea. There are a number of activities available at the beach including hiring Jet ski, Parasailing, tubing and pedalo with slide.
The umbrella and two sunbeds cost us Euro7.50 for the whole day. There is not much beach space available if you do not want to use one of their umbrellas. They will charge you the full amount irrespective of what time you arrive.
There is a well stocked cafe offering food and drink and there is free WiFi covering the beach.

Lovely beach with great warm sea that doesn't have a huge step that gets suddenly deep. I thought the sun loungers were a bit pricey. We went twice, arrived after 3pm on both occassions and were still charged the full daily rate of 2.50 euros per lounger and 2.50 euro for the parasol.
It has a great bar selling drinks and snacks at the top, showers, toilets and changing sheds on the beach.
All in all a lovely place to relax.

I would only recommend if you are reliant on public transport and even then I think it’s probably not worth it. If you have a car there are far better beaches on the Akamas Peninsular.
The beach has sun beds and umbrellas available for €2.50 each. There are two cafes which have blaring very loud music so you will not be comfortable sitting and eating. There is a small selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices but not an enjoyable experience. Everyone is crammed into a small section of beach. The water is clear and good for swimming.
For all the hassle of buses and getting there I would not recommend it or visit again.

A party of us booked 6 double jetski rides and when it was my husband and son’s go, they were out in the water for less than 5 minutes before a wave took them out and they were flipped off the jetski - although the other staff were quick to go and rescue them and were helpful, the “captain” was rude, unhelpful and tried to blame him for being wreckless!
They did not offer another go for them so it was a complete waste of 60 Euros. Also tried to say the jetski was broken, when we saw it out on the water after the incident. Even after the gentleman who was out with them watching to make sure they were riding safely tried to tell the captain it was not their fault, he still wouldn’t have it.
I went back twice to try and speak to the captain to sort something out and was completely fobbed off.
What a shame….

The bay as you arrive is absolutely stunning. We stayed in Paphos and it was very easy to get to via the bus and they have such a good bus service in Cyprus. The sunbeds were very reasonably priced and you could spend a full day there.
The only downfall was the sea was extremely choppy and a little scary with a toddler!
I would definitely recommend a visit if you are staying in the local area.

Hello, I appreciate this question isn’t about the hotel - but are you able to advise whether there is a local pharmacy at which we can get a rapid Covid test for flying back to the UK? I have found the health clinic, but wondered if there was a cheaper option (the tests we ordered before flying tomorrow have not arrived). Any information you do have would be appreciated ☺️

Hello.
We are going to Coral Bay in April for 1 week over Easter, staying in a villa.
Could anyone let me know if shops/attractions will be open this early in the season and provide suggestions on places to visit or nice restaurants suitable for children.
Thank you!

Hi - we're heading to Coralia Dream Villas - we'd be really grateful for any tips regarding wear to eat, supermarkets etc. Also, what the arrangements are for late evening return flights - is there somewhere to store luggage on departure or was there an option of late checkout/booking a room elsewhere for the day? Thanks in advance.

Hi Gareth & Jo, here are a list of the restaurants we really liked, everyone is so welcoming in them, some of them are very same in the meals that they offer, but all were absolutely delicious,
Corallo Restaurant
Andria Restaurant (we went here to celebrate our anniversary) excellent fillet steak.
Seriani Restaurant
Coral King
Kleos Bar, (lovely bar during the day and good meals) turns a bit disco like in the evening)
Chic Choc ( great for breakfast)
Kikos Sports Bar (good for burgers and pizza) open late and all year and show football/ Rugby etc on tvs.
Sea Beach Bar really lovely especially to sit and watch the sun go down.
Laona Restaurant, this is in the old town and so worth a visit if you go to the big market there in the old town, it’s very easy to get to by getting a bus into Paphos then get on another bus into the old town, (sorry I can’t remember the bus numbers but you rep manager will know)
Don’t go to Muji Chinese Restaurant it really is not good, and we were also told not to go for an Indian meal either.
We stayed in Coralia dream 8 and it was fabulous, the only thing that let it down for us was that the pool was not heated so was too cold to go in when we were there. The villa manager we dealt with was Billie, and she was amazing and will give you lots of tips on where to visit. If you get any problems make sure you get it sorted while you are there, oh car hire is really reasonable, we hired one for a week and was glad we did as we were able to see so much more, hope you have a fabulous holiday and hope this has helped in some way, oh forgot to say, yes our flights were very late at night so we booked a day room at Neptune’s Hotel and checked out of there at 8pm them was picked up for the airport, €30 for the room, oh and the supermarket if you want one is another a 10 minutes walk and they will deliver for you it’s called Phillophos ( I think that’s how it’s spelt) you actually walk past Neptune’s to get to it. If I can help with anything else just ask.

There is a nice spa there, pool etc. Maybe able to get a day pass? I would contact hotel direct to confirm

Hi folks... I am looking for help with a found puppy, in Coral Bay. Not a normal holiday question, I know, but we helped a lady rescue a small pup - possibly a Jack Russell - who was running into the main road. She said that someone had mentioned to her that they had been looking for it for two days, so she didn't want to just let it run off...
Anyway, my question is, can anyone give me some advice or guidance as to where to take it? Any dog sanctuaries or lost animal centres near to Coral Bay / Paphos region?
Thanks in advance 🙂
