blue-blue sea, and nice view, but the beach is not cared by anybody (as everywhere on cap force) and entrance to the water is not very convenient. There is a big parking that is good. One restaurant there, but please book in advance - always busy and absolutely not friendly, to be honest.

From the camping in Macinaggio there is a rough road to the Plage de Tamarone. At the beach there is a small restaurant called U Paradiso. From the beach you can also follow the Sentier des Douaniers (a walking trail) to most north-eastern point of Corsica. You will see three little islands belonging to Corsica and may return at the Santa Maria beach, from there is a small path leading you back to the Plage de Tamarone (1,2 km length), the other way along the cost is longer. The sea-water is very clear.

After the recent storm on July 15, the beach turned into a very unpleasant place with LOTS of algae that noone is cleaning or moving to the side. Meters of algae along all beach line which is stuck into heavy smelly piles with dead medusa. You will have to walk through this mess for 5-7 meters before entering clear water and often you get stuck. We couldn’t stay and left. It’s such a disappointment. We have been coming to this beach every year since 2016.

This beach has it almost all
Beautiful setting, nice sand, clear water, great paillote.
It's not five star as it is no longer a secret though most of the visitors seem to be locals enjoying the sun. Therefore some pollution though the local volunteers do regular walks n the beach to clean up.
Like many beaches in Korsika you will also encounter some algae. This is a sign of healthy sea ecosystem but can annoy a bit.
