A great beach at the most northern place of Corsica. Not too crowded, close to the port and the restaurants. With water activities, both free, and paid. The sand may not be like the beaches in the south, but the total experience is much better here. This is also the starting point for hiking trips: sentier des douaniers.

This is a beautiful and easily accessible beach. For something even more special, hike 30 minutes along the coastal trail to Plage de Tamarone, where you'll also find U Paradisu, a great seafood restaurant.

Sandy, not too packed even in July. Even better, take the dusty track up to the furthest beach you can drive to beyond the town of Macinaggio itself.

Your best to stay away. If too many people go there, it will ruin it for the rest of us! Besides you don't want to disturb the cows sunning themselves on the beach. The hiking trails are off the beaten path, with spectacular views. You could hike all day without hardly meeting a soul. Where comfortable shoes and carry water. In springtime the Maquis, local vegetation, leaves a wonderful scent in the air. Fresh air, gentle breezes, call of the birds, no crowds.
