Always a favourite beach to visit. Absolutely perfectly safe for swimming. Excellent for families with young children too. Plenty of restaurants serving great lunches, all more or less priced the same but quite reasonable, so not too expensive. June is a great time to visit, calm seas and not too crowded. It gets busy in July and August and the sea can also get quite rough but great for body boarders.

A lovely bay near Lagos. There are plenty of places to eat, including takeaway. We really liked Za Zu! Also the food tent on the beach is nice and has tasty dishes. The other eateries are very English. That's not our taste. You can rent two beds and an umbrella for the whole day for EUR 20. You get a pillow on the cot. I didn't think that was expensive. In Italy, they charge more. There is a toilet facility available. You can book various water activities. We liked this beach the most. Because of the amenities and the cozy family atmosphere.

Beautiful beach with a great atmosphere, quiet, relaxed and unpretentious...but at a level. Here there is neither the confusion nor the ostentation of other places in the Algarve. It's not as hot as the Tavira area, which is perfect for me, despite some wind in the late afternoon. Another very positive aspect is that the car remains stationary, and everyone can walk whenever they want.

We toured Portugal by car from the north to the Algarve. This is one of the many beaches visited in Lagos area. It is very windy and it was impossible to put the umbrella. The water temperature, as in all the other beaches visited, is too low to swim, even for a swimmer like me; also the sea is full of algae..... not inviting to swim. Do not think there are climatic conditions in Italian marine areas.
