Kefalonia Island Tour

28 reviews
Commence a scenic island drive through olive groves, vineyards and thick cypress glades. Passing through the Mount Aenos you will visit the Robola Winery and taste the famous Robola variety of wine. Explore the Drogarati Caves, famous for their acoustics. Visit the geological phenomenon that is the Melissani Lake which is in an underground cave. Next, we go for lunch to the cosmopolitan village of Fiscardo, untouched after the great earthquake of 1953. Leaving Fiscardo you will head to the little fishing village of Assos, which gives the impression of being an island of its own. En route on our way back, you’ll make a photo stop at Myrtos Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

What you will see:
• Robola Winery – Visit inside, wine tasting
• Drogarati Cave – Visit inside
• Melissani Lake – Visit inside, boat ride
• Fiscardo Village – Lunch break (optional)
• Assos Village – Coffee stop
• Photo-stop at Myrtos beach

A lovely little beach out of the way but accessible by car of the local bus. Very quiet but just what we wanted. A little beach bar is on hand for drinks / lunch.

Trapezaki beach is admittedly narrow but it makes up for this by the length of the lovely sand stretch with crystal clear water. There are some facilities here including the Denis restaurant where we had dinner twice. In Sept 2020 it was not at all crowded, and on one occasion we had a long stretch to ourselves. Situated at the crossroads above the beach, is the Trapezaki Supermarket. It may not be very big but it was well stocked with all necessities and as a family run business it is very friendly and welcoming. This was my first visit to anywhere in Greece, and my catering attempts at speaking Greek was greatly appreciated. I can heartily recommend Trapezaki Supermarket and I hope that it survived the dreadful hurricane on the 18th of Sept. Efharisto and Diolch.

This beach is reay nice for the people which don't like activity. It is very tight and the sand isn't very fine.

Nice beach with a beach bar (Denis). Shallow but some seaweed when we were there. Sandy and safe for kids

lovely beach, well worth a visit. Goes out a long way before any real depth. Lots of little fishies nibble at your toes!
