Aliki Beach is very beautiful. The water is very clean and blue! It’s worth it to visit the beach!

BUT

Aliki Beach Restaurant

I would definitely avoid this place next time.

We have sat at the beach. One guy comes and says that the place is a fish restaurant, so the sunbeds with an umbrella is free but we have to go to the tavern and buy goods for minimum price of 50€ for two persons. We thought it is a little expensive but if we eat fish is ok so we stayed. We had not read the reviews and that was a big mistake.

Personally I did not like the fact that people running the place were sitting on a table in front of the restaurant. Moreover I heard multiple times the PR people speaking badly to the kitchen staff. I believe some of them did not realise that there are people there who speak greek, so they had spoken freely.

The waiter insisted on what we order. At the end we have got a fish. They never weighted the fish in front of us, so they could charge us whatever they want. At the receipt was 1,1kg but we never know if it was for instance 900gr. So good practice is to weight the fish in front of the customer. Fish came to us opened which is a bad practice too. The fish must be opened in front of the customer! Or if the customer wants, he/she eats it on his/her shelf. Some potatoes were smashed which looks like they were left overs from another customer. The bread was cut all the way down and some slices were upside down which also shows it was from left overs. Good restaurants do not cut it all the way, to show you that it was taken from one piece of bread. Greek salad was below average too.

We ate and left. I did not feel comfortable to stay more.

One of the most clear and calm water. It’s a perfect place for snorkeling. The prices for one umbrella and 2 chairs regularly are 10€ but nearby were places which charge 25€ per person included consumption from their bar. A little bit further near the rock is a restaurant called “Limanaki”, the nice old man who own this place gives the umbrellas and chair for free but with the condition to eat at his restaurant, where you will also find a shower outside.

I do not recommend this beach, but not the beach itself, but the restaurant that serves the beach plus the kitchen set up on this beach. The cleanliness leaves much to be desired, especially in the bathroom... and the sunbeds placed on the beach are one inside the other, you don't have room to walk between them. The owners want to earn as much money as possible, so they crowded the sunbeds very hard. Grandma's food, but where you don't eat well in Greece... Conclusion: I absolutely do not recommend it at all! If you don't want to crowd yourself on a small beach with sunbeds crammed into each other, where you don't have a bit of shade... I don't recommend this place set up on an otherwise gorgeous beach.

Forget the photos you see here. The reality today is way different. Alykesnused to be one of the most beautiful places to visit. Till 3, 4 years ago. Now the sunbeds cover the entire coast. There is not space to walk in between. Starting the last few years, the locals charge the beds from 15€ to 20€ without including any beverage or other service. This you need to buy by yourself from an auto seller. The sunbeds are really close to each other and you feel you cannot breath. The beach is full of specific kind of tourists, coming from specific countries that do not have any proper behavior or manners. It is always loud, super warm and looks cheap. Unfortunately the local business men with their love for easy profit, they destroyed this great place. Together with them, the weak laws for over tourism and the lack of proper governance, made this paradise a non viable place to go. Same with the rest of the island i am afraid. In ten years from now, Thassos will be the new 'santorini' for hilly billy Balkans.

Very beautiful beach. We stayed on the "Ruins beach" which is at a 3 minute walk from the main Aliki Beach.
Aliki beach had many sunbeds and tavernas and the water was Chrystal clear.
The ruin's beach was far less crowded and had only sand without sunbeds. The beach was quiet and excellent and we got to see the beautiful ruins nearby.
I wouldn't try for any tavernas from Aliki Beach. We heard only awful stories about people trying to oversell you food.
You have all the other beautiful tavernas with great employees on the rest of the island. Please don't ruin your holiday at Aliki Tavernas

Don't go. Big disappointment. The beauty of the landscape has been destroyed with the total absence of the state to put barriers on the sunbeds everywhere. It is not only that there is no permanent place to access the beach, but there is no beauty in this place, since they have also put cement with pots between the sunbeds on the sand, in order to prevent the bathers from going to a certain shop (he told us one of the professional beachcombers, blaming the one next to him). And no worse, that is. Big disappointment

Come on. Because the natural environment is charming. To walk the path through the pines and to go to Alykes. And the note that they made in antiquity the marble. And as you walked along the path to see the marvellous swirling of the blue-green sea of this little bay. To swim in the green clear waters. Fantastic beach. There are around 50 meters where you can put your umbrella or towel on. I'm not going to mention the prices for sunbeds at all. I didn't ask, nor was I gonna sit down. Fortunately I was not affected by the bad reviews (rights) for the overuse of the beach. I would have lost this wonderful natural environment that I will always remember. Let's not just act like consumers. I urge everyone to go, swim, walk the trail and not sit on the sun loungers, or show up there. Go early to find parking on the street. Then you go down on foot. Come on!

Go if you want to waste your money.
Parking is limited and quite a hike down to the Rip off places.
We refused to pay for food and they removed our towels.
Huge amount of crowds in the water and all over the tiny area of beach.

The beauty of nature is enormous! The obscenity of people even more! One sunbed on top of another and the price for consumption for other seasons. Apart from the disorganized beach, I do not recommend the other one at all. Someone in charge needs to step in!

We arrived at the beach at 12:30 with the bus, there was only one umbrella left. The gentleman charged us 50 euros (!) , fixed price with consumption at the tavern, no other choice. We accepted just because we had a young child waiting to swim, otherwise we would have left right away. The beach is very dirty and crowded. A nightmare.
