This place has our hearts 💕

We were fortunate to find this peaceful little gem four years ago, the owners were extremely friendly, welcoming and very accommodating.

We returned this year to a very warm welcome 😃 (Alex recognised us from 4 years ago 😳).

The beach has free parking and sunbeds with umbrellas (on both the sand and grass) so long as you spend in the bar).

The bar serves food, drink and ice creams all of which can be consumed at your sunbed or in the shade of the bar area.

Alex and Kostas, thank you again for making us feel so welcome. Hope to see you next year.

A lovely beach with shallow waters that stretch out a fair way so feels safe for swimming and snorkeling. The beach bar here serves lovely food (the burgers were very tasty) and lovely Greek coffee. The managers were very welcoming. There are chargeable sunbeds on the beach but if you spend a certain amount at the bar you can use sunbeds on the grass for free (though this is subject to availability so get in early).

Before we came to Zante I researched the beaches thoroughly - finding a quiet, beautiful beach is a huge part of our holiday criteria. I can't stand rows upon rows of sun beds, loud music and tons of people when I want to chill. I found Vrahos during my research and knew it would be the beach for us.

What I didn't expect was just how perfect it would be and how it's quickly become one of the best beaches (if not the best!) that we've ever visited in Greece.

You can get there by car or bus. Costs about 1.80 euros from Argassi. When getting off the bus the stop will be for St Nicholas beach, if you get off and follow the signs for St Nics, you'll soon pick up signs for Vrahos. You won't be disappointed. Watch the hoards and crowds get off the bus for banana beach and st Nicholas beach... You're about to experience something special.

There are plenty of sunbeds (2 and an umbrella for 5 euros) all positioned around a gorgeous cove. The beach is sandy so you don't need beach shoes to enter the water. The crystal clear water is beautiful, like a picture from a postcard, you can walk out for metres and metres before you're at swimming depth....it's bliss. When the sun is shining the shallows are warmed through and it becomes like a huge warm bath! Ahhhhh.

There's a chance to see plenty of fish when snorkelling around the edges of the cove, so well worth buying a snorkel and checking it out. There is also an area of rock where there's a chance to see some crabs basking in the warm rock pools.

There's a great snack bar providing drinks and food, the salads are lovely, club sandwiches are delicious and every other day there is a special greek dish served, I had the passitio which was amazing. Well recommended to try the greek specials as they're all homemade and fresh. There's also some chilled out tunes playing gently in the background.

But I save the best until last...the owners of the beach bar are without hesitation the nicest and most genuine greek people that we have ever met. Kostas and his wife Vasiliki run Vrahos, he works the front and she cooks the amazing meals. They're such warm, hospitable and genuine people - you could talk to Kostas for hours - he's so friendly and has such a great view on the world.

I hope we return to Zante one day, and I know where we'll be heading straight away!

Thank you Kostas and Vasiliki!

Very nice, small and quiet beach. Friendly staff. We were here twice during our holidays. Once the sea was calm, the second time there were very big waves.

This is the beach next to TheBay hotel and is great for swimming and games. Both ends of the beach have rocky outcrops that are good for snorkelling in shallow water and many colourful fish varieties to see.

This is the best beach by far in the area. It's quiet and picturesque. Mostly suitable for adults as not much to do for children. The snack bar is good too, you must try the milkshakes! Sunbeds are 5euros for two on the sand or free on the grass. Shower on the beach and toilets are also available. There are rocks in the water so great for snorkelling!

Loved this beach! It's rather small, between rocks but with very fine sand and scenic views, absolutely the best place for snorkeling, the beach bar had discreet beach music and the service was great.

If you're looking for a beautiful stretch of beach with warm powder sand, gorgeous inviting turquoise sea, peace and tranquillity, sensational food, amazing drinks and superb hospitality, make your way to Vrahos Beach.

Kostas is an amazing host, very passionate about his place and will spoil you with his entertaining personality and world class hospitality.

It's located in between Plaka and Punta Basta. Don't bother with those two, just head straight to Vrahos, you can take my word for it.
