Lovely beach where the turtles nest(area roped off)but 2 sun beds & brolly are an absolute rip off at €20 for 3 hours or €30 for all day and they are rusty & of poor quality. There isn’t enough to go round either so if your not there early you won’t get any. There is no other shade on the beach either. Lots of families very disappointed and ended up wandering about looking for beds before having to leave due to no beds, brollies or shade. Shame because it’s a lovely beach to visit but avoid at all costs as a complete rip off unless all the proceeds go the protection of the turtles but I doubt it. Go to Kalamaki or elsewhere where 2 beds & brolly are €10 all day.

Charge 20 Euros until 13pm and all day 40 Euros for rusty sunbeds when on many other better beaches the cost of similar sunbeds is at most 20 euros all day

The drive is easy and very easy to find your way. The end of the road is the car park, 2 large fields/areas, a few restaurants and shops by the car parks and then about a 5 mins walk, down a sloping path or steps. It really isn’t too bad.

We got there at 11 and it was packed!! The first half of the beach is paid for sun beds, then the rest are people with towels and umbrellas. However, bare in mind that half of the beach is shut off because of the turtles eggs, so you can’t use the area by the cliffs, just the thin strip of sand by the water. It’s just a bit wider than the length of a towel, you end up walking in the water to get past everyone.

Keep walking, the beach is long and at the end of the beach there is more space. That is the hardest bit, a bit of a walk and finding you spot. Then it only gets better!

The sand is great for digging (the turtles obviously agree too!) and the water is warm and shallow for ages. As you are right on the waters edge your little ones can play right in front of you in the shallow water.

You can snorkel near the rocks and see lots of fish, if you stand still they will swim around your feet in the shallows. They might even have a little nibble at your feet (if you have any dry skin!). The water is so clear and clean, it’s stunning.

We spent the whole day there. We would go back but definitely arriving earlier!

Gets overcrowded very soon. I wouldn't recommend it in August. We were here in July and it was acceptable, keep in mind that there are no services on the beach and if you need water or food you have to walk all the way back to the parking lot. Get organized and do not bother the turtle nests!

Sun bed and umbrella hire is 20euro for 3 hours…compared to other beaches this is really expensive. Most are 10euros all day.

Beach is very busy and due to the protection of the turtles (fair enough), most of the beach is not available, which makes the beach feel overcrowded.

There are plenty of other beaches in Zakinthos that are more beautiful than this one…such as Keri beach…

This beach visit was disappointing as it’s nothing special

AVOID. They wanted to charge 20 euros for 3 hours and 30 euros for the day (2 sun beds + umbrella). And the sun beds were poor quality. It was a straight no from us…shame on them for being so greedy.
We headed to the far superior Dafni beach instead - 6 euros for the full day & much more pleasant surroundings.

This beach is surely visited only for the Jason's Bite and the turtle nesting sites. But you don't get anything out of that. Tape barriers, which are certainly necessary, but not nice. There are better beaches.

Very nice, clean and not very crowded (may2022) compared to other beaches on the island. Crystal clear water, miminum waves, and spectacular views. What else u need? Right - snorkelling mask 👍😃
Definitely better than overcrowded banana beach and others. Do start your trip from here.
