The highlight of our holiday

My wife and I along with our friends have just returned from a very enjoyable holiday in Skiathos, but the highlight of the trip was our day out on the Traditional Yacht, Soft Machine 2 skippered by 'Captain Cook' AKA Konstantinos. I believe that the booking process and the communications were both very good and Konstantinos and wife Deti were lovely people and it was a pleasure to spend the day with them. First swimming opportunity of the day was at Lalaria Beach, it was obviously a popular spot and there was quite a few other vessels and swimmers in the vicinity, but it was very enjoyable none the less. The second and third stops were off the neighbouring island of Skopelos, one designated for our lunch and another for swimming (buoyancy aids, flippers and snorkelling equipment and a paddle board were provided). I mentioned the lunch earlier, and what a lunch it was! We started with mussels cooked in white wine with lovely crusty bread, followed by seafood risotto and sea bream, for those not keen on sea food there was a lovely pasta cooked with pesto. Beer, wine and a selection soft drinks were also available throughout the day. Our final stop of the day was at the island of Tsougkrias, it was totally deserted where we had the beach and the sea to ourselves, it was idyllic, Dita also supplied us with a selection of fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt. Konstantinos is a real character who added much to the enjoyment of the day, he was particularly popular with the two children we had in the party. There were 16 of us in our party so splitting the cost between members of the party made hiring the boat affordable. As the title suggests, this day out was the highlight of a great holiday and we would highly recommend 'Capt Cook and his Traditional Yacht, Soft Machine 2.

An Absolute Must!!!!

If you are thinking of booking a boat trip whilst in Skiathos, don't contemplate any trip except this.
Yes, it is a little more expensive than some others, but it is absolutely worth every single cent.
The experience is purposely intimate and exclusive and superb value for money - the locations visited, the quality of food, the availability of drinks and the whole vibe of the trip are just something else.
Konstantinos is engaging, funny, has great taste in music and is attentive to everyone's needs.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

Captain Cook and the Traditional Yacht

Fabulous day trip, the highlight of our trip to Skiathos, Constantinos was prepared and aware of the changing in the weather at all times which allowed us to relax knowing we were in safe hands, our son loved having a try at paddle boarding and they went over and above to make sure he was safe and comfortable creating him a bed in the shade when he got tired.
The places we visited were dependent on the weather on the day and with a small number of people on board we felt we had a choice on how long to stay at each stop.
The food was by far the best we had on our visit to the island and we had some amazing food on our holiday there. If you’re visiting the area and looking for the best boat trip this is the one!

Best boat trip I’ve ever been on

Konstantinos was the perfect host and captain of this lovely vessel.
We spent 10 hours cruising the islands, snorkelling visiting secluded beaches.
The boat was spacious with only 14 passengers in total allowing us to feel relaxed.
The food prepared by the knowledgeable captain was delicious and fresh.
Konstantinos went above and beyond to make this trip a magical experience

The perfect boat trip....amazing

I can't actually rate this high enough. It was the most perfect day and probably the best day I've had in years. Konstantinos and his sister were fantastic hosts and took us to some amazing places, plus the food was outstanding, by far the best we had all holiday (and that's some praise as we never had a bad meal, anywhere). You can pay less to go on a big boat with about 100/200 people but I promise that it won't be anywhere near as good as this. If we had done this the first week of our holiday, we would have definitely booked again for the second week. Oh well, we will be back on your beautiful boat again next year.

Absolutely superb

Without question this trip was the best day of our holiday. Konstantinos was so attentive, a fabulous chef, and great fun to be around. His boat is beautiful and the places he took us to on the trip were just stunning. The food he prepared exceeded our expectations- shrimps, Sea bream, mussels, freshly made pesto and pasta, Greek feta salad, and fresh fruit . All cooked/prepared to an incredibly high standard. Just superb. If you don’t do this trip whilst on this beautiful island you are really missing out on a pretty special, and memorable day. Thank you for giving us a really wonderful day to remember and cherish.

We had a really fun day on this yacht with Constantine. There is plenty of shade as well as deck area, and he makes sure not to overload too many people so that everyone gets their own space. Whilst all the boats in the harbour tend to do similar routes, this one had its own USP in the fact that Constantine is a chef and instead of going off to a taverna for the usual food, he cooks onboard, and wow, it really was delicious and plentiful... We can thoroughly recommend this trip.

A real holiday highlight

A really amazing day. Konstantinos is the most excellent captain, chef and host, we had the perfect time aboard the beautiful traditional yacht. He went out above and beyond to make sure we had the best day, he even cooked us the most delicious stuffed peppers when I mentioned I was vegetarian, it was an absolutely delicious feast! We visited beautiful quiet beaches with turquoise waters and I learned to stand up paddle board as there's one on the boat (as well as snorkels and flippers for people to use), there is also a ladder going into the sea so you don't have to jump off if you're nervous with water. The boat is spacious so you have your own area to relax with a cold drink without feeling like you're on top of each other. This was our second trip with konstantinos and it will not be our last, thanks for a super day.

An out of this world Skiathos boat trip!

Wow, what a day! It was without doubt the best day boat trip we have ever been on after coming to Skiathos for the last 8 years. We chartered the boat as a family and all 11 of us are were blown away. The captain and his mate were great company, the destinations superb with regular swim stops throughout. The best bit was that the lunch was on par with some of the best restaurants on the island with fresh fish and seafood, pasta, salads and topped off with late afternoon melon, cherries and yoghurt. An exceptional boat trip, many thanks!

Superb day

Our day on Soft Machine 2 was fantastic. As a group of 16 friends and family ranging in age from 6 to 69 we had a wonderful day the scenery was beautiful, the swim stops in the clearest of water with a paddle board to try along side snorkels and flippers. My 15 year old enjoyed it so much.He along with everybody on board enjoyed the amazing food including mussels, sea bream prawn risotto the food was generous and delicious. If you have chance to experience this trip I would highly recommend it.
