Overview
More
Pilli Pipa is an accredited PADI Dive Resort under the name of Firefly Ocean Camp, registration number s22994. We have up to date diving equipment which is replaced regularly. We have excellent dive gear imported and replaced regularly. Contrary to what one reviewer, Roadsmoretravelled, November/December 2013, has falsely put on a review. He did not come on our dhow but was probably told by the Shimoni hotel he stayed at that he was going with Pilli Pipa. We do not dive in 1 or 2 metres of water and we do not have shocking equipment. If you want a wonderful diving experience with professionals, book with Harm Lutjeboer, Pilli Pipa Dhow Safari, PADI and Naui registered, dive base, Firefly Ocean Camp in Shimoni. Not based at Shimoni Reef Lodge. We also take snorkellers to the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park for an exciting adventure followed by lunch at Pilli Pipa on Wasini Island.

Hi Heike. I was disappointed that you did not enjoy your snorkelling trip more. We are definitely not just for beginners, many experienced snorkellers and divers come to us again and again. On the day you came there were dolphins around and I was told...More

Water was choppy when we went so that put a damper on the experience until we got to the island. The dhow ride was a little uncomfortable for some and marine life a little limited. But overall a great experience. Staff could not have been...More

Splendid! So glad you enjoyed the day. Not sure when you came but the road has been ironed out a bit now. There is one place where it is quite bad for about 20 metres or so. We are hoping that KWS will take some...More

That's fantastic, having a good experience as first time snorkellers is important. If you don't get the right guidance from the beginning one could be put off trying again. So glad that you enjoyed the day and got something out of it.

So glad you had a great time. You obviously have a sense of fun and adventure. I often find it irritating when people complain about the long ride from Mombasa or Diani. I have been living here for years but I still find the journey...More
