When I wrote my review about Myrtos Beach in Caphalonia/Kefalonia/Kefalonica, I explained that this really is heaven on earth. Actually, the whole island is. I've been there twice now, with a time separation of 27 years, which really makes me feel that I've missed so...More

A lovely village nestled at the bottom of the remains of a Venetian fort. Cafes restaurants & a village shop embrace a bay of beautifully clear water. Be aware of the steep hair pin bends down the side of the hill to reach it ......More

A very picturesque village with a couple of nice restaurants. A lovely place perfect to unwind, relax and over a drink watch the boats drop in to the harbour for a night out. The walk up to the castle should be done early before the...More

The drive down the steep road to get to Assos is well worth it. Those with youthful energy can climb to the imposing Assos Castle. Those of us without were happy just to sit and watch and drink in the beauty.

Visited here when in kefalonia, it is a stunning location to visit. Difficult to park the day we went,as very busy. Plenty to see and do here, and lots of tavernas. A lovely place to visit but would not like to stay here.

Very pretty town but not much more to it really. It is out of the way, bearing in mind we were staying near the airport, but worth a visit for a drink by the sea.

Well worth a visit. Very picturesque. Take a walk up to the castle, you don't have to go all the way to get wonderful views. Have lunch at one of the very good restaurants around the bay.

it is hard to imagine a more picture perfect village - particularly one that been rebuilt with such pride. This quaint village is popular, despite being so small - its residential population during the winter months is just under 100 persons. With its small inshore...More

I've never seen any. The beach is shingle. Best viewed from the bar which borders the beach. The view is the real attraction, although the water is very clear and the bay is very sheltered.

Assos is a good option, the beautiful scenery and the short distance to Myrtos beach as well as to the beaches around Fiskardo is an advantage if you have a car. I could also recommend you Sami, which is very close to the... More
