About
Our golf course is located in the heart of Corfu Island in Ropa Valley. You can play the course seven days a week. The beautiful golf course of Corfu has been characterized by many as one of the best hidden secrets in Europe. The Corfu Golf Club course, located only 11km away from Corfu town, was designed by the famous Swiss architect Donald Harradine, who combined the natural beauty of the Ropa Valley with his own interventions in a harmonious way, to create a course pleasant for both advanced and beginner players. Today, it is a magical place with tree groves around the fairways, ponds, streams and a background of the surrounding hills. It is a habitat filled with animals and birds (Common Kingfisher, Ardeidae, Lutra lutra, fish). Golf can be played throughout the year, as the winter is mild. The course is excellent and easy to walk while every hole offers endless variety as well as a challenge. The course is open 7 days a week.

- UnhappyjudyPortsmouth, United Kingdom6 contributionsAVOID AT ALL COSTS!Booked for 2 weeks but returned home after 1 week. State of course disgusting. Most of the time unplayable. Teeing up on fairways resembling cabbge patches. Balls can be lost on fairways . Bunkers GUR.Lift and place fairways and rough. Greens didn’t see any such a disgrace. No green keeper and machinery broken. Should be closed down until in better condition. Owner still taking green fees off golfers!Visited May 2023Traveled with friendsWritten May 17, 2023
- rsphilbyCamberley, United Kingdom12 contributionsSadly, a course that needs you to visit but I can’t recommend you should :(I feel torn writing this review, because I assume what this course needs is more money, which means more visitors BUT, we had planned to play it twice this week, suffice to say we decided that our one visit was enough. The course is in a state of horrific disrepair. Tees are bare, markers old and rusty. The fairways clearly receive no upkeep, however it is the greens that make this course unrecommendable, they are atrocious making the course unplayable. I won’t comment on bunkers, or the driving range…it’s not worth it. As I said what it clearly needs is investment, however I think they should be more open about this and maybe reduce their fees (it’s worth €20 a round) and ask for a donation to the ongoing upkeep or organise a raffle to raise funds. By being honest about the terrible state the course is in and encouraging visitors to support its return to being a playable golf course, I think we would feel very different about it and may have returned. All in all a bit sad :(Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 14, 2023
- HicksyHagley, United Kingdom37 contributionsComplete waste of moneyWhat a truly disappointing experience. This is one of the poorest golf courses I have played anywhere in the world. The tees and greens a void of grass, the bunkers are solid sand and the fairways are so poorly mowed / cleared of leaves and debris it is impossible to find your ball. Do not waste your money playing here it really is dreadful. The only positives for me were the set of Taylor Made hire clubs and the beer afterwards. All in this cost me Euro160 including buggy, taxi transfer and clubs. A complete waste of money I’m afraid.Visited August 2023Traveled soloWritten August 28, 2023

It was difficult work out what was a tee box from weeds dirt and tree roots. Imagine a really poor municipal where no one cares about the course. It’s way worse than that. We read not so great reviews before going but thought the golf snobs might be being unfair. There not it’s a unmanaged unloved mess. Do not pay the fees. We paid €120 each person with buggy. Course is in poor condition with very little definition between the fairway and the first / second Cut - Greens are like cabbage patches and the bunkers have no sand within. Tee boxes are in need of some TLC
Certainly not worth the 55 Euro Green fee, such a shame as you can clearly see the potential but would require money being spent.
Amenities and staff are first class and helpful - let down by the course...

Dear Mr Wright,
Firstly please allow me to thank you for taking the time and writing this review. And for your kind words and comments on the staff.I am really sorry that you didn t get to enjoy your day. Indeed this year the course is not where we would wanted it to be due to lockdown. Our greenkeeping team is working really hard to move the course forward during these hard times that we are all experiencing. We hope that we will be able to welcome you again in the future and to offer you a memorable golfing day

If you are a serious golfer don’t bother with this course. The greens are atrocious, the tees look like cabbage patches and the fairways are even worse, the bunkers have no sand and are full of weeds. Two ball, paid €188 for green fees, buggy and clubs, to be fair we upgraded to better clubs for an extra cost but wish I hadn’t bothered. It is at best a 4th rate municipal in the UK and I am being kind. The only positive was the draft Mythos on the bar after was very nice. Avoid!!!

235 euros for buggy, 2 hire sets and one round of golf was extortionate considering the state of the course. Probably the worse course iv'e played on and never worth the money. Only saw twom other golfers during the round which probably tells you everything.

Dear Andy H,
Firstly we would like to thank you for taking the time and writing this review. We take all reviews seriously and we value our visitor s point of view. May i please kindly point out that since you have rented 2 sets of clubs there were 2 people playing and not one round as mentioned. As we are unaware of the time that you played it is not unusual not to have many players if it was during the day (as many of our visitors come early morning in order to avoid the heat). We are really sorry that you didn t get to enjoy your day at the CGC and if you had mentioned something to our receptionists i am positive that they would have done their best to accommodate you.
With our kindest regards
The CGC team

I really wanted to like this course. In fact I planned on playing it 2/3 times.
I only played it the once.
I was on my own and asked to play with someone else but was still put on my own.

They are living in the past who wants to play on there own.
Hire some clubs
1st set so old the bag had one strap, I had to return and exchange it.
The 2nd was ancient a very old driver that would only slice.
I normally draw the ball.
Eventually I linked up with 3 others who had brought their own clubs.
They planned on playing 3 rounds too but after our game had no plans on ever returning.

This golf club is definitely worth a visit.
The course is a challenge for beginners and golf veterans.
It is well maintained and the service is very welcoming.
Particularly Haris, Bia and Jannis are to be mentioned.
I recommend this club to every golfer going to Corfu.

The course is in a very good condition and a challenge for golfers of all proficiency levels. The prices are fair and the people working there are very friendly and competent.
You can easily lend clubs and a trolley / buggy.
It is a high class golf cub worth a visit.
