Much better than the National Tequila Museum, many exhibits and well informed guides. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, 45 minutes to an hour long. You must take a tour, with a guide but it is not expensive and there seems to be no waiting, not for...More

This small museum has the history of one of Tequilas oldest families in the business. If you can spare a half hour or so, I recommend you check it out to buy their tequila which is great and comes in a beautifully crafted bottle.

Los Abuelos Museo was very interesting and full of spectacular period time pieces. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the gift shop very well appointed. I bought the majority of my gifts here. Prices were reasonable.

We went into this museum soon after we got to the town of Tequila, and got a brief guided tour. Much of the information is about the Sauza family, but the old pictures and overview was worthwhile.

Duck into this quaint building for a trip to tequila past. Los Abuelos is home to Fortaleza, one of the very best tequilas on the market. Five generations ago the family founded what became the Sauza empire. Years after his grandfather sold the company, Guellirmo...More

Old home of the Sauza Family, free tour, and perhaps the best Reposado Tequila I've had. It's sold with the label "Los Abuelos" in Mexico but because of trademark reasons in the states, it's "La Fortaleza" the same thing just the label different. If you...More

This is a small museum operated by the descendants of the Sauza family. The gift shop is superb and the only place to purchase their family's tequila which is totally hand harvested, hand processed using the ancient techniques.

The museum is a nice look at the history of tequila and its introduction to the US about the real Sauza Tequila. They didn't allow pictures in some sections which as a bummer. Nice little gift shop.
