Well worth a visit

One of the postcards of Canela, Cathedral Rock is located in the square main in the city center, was established in 1937 in English Gothic. You walk down the main street of Canela and goes until the end of it, there is a cathedral. It is the best attraction of the city.

IT WAS NICE church AND truly beautiful. My FRIENDS and I attended a service thereafter our visit. The priests were very kind and tried to make visitors comfortable. WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND IT. WE REALLY ENJOY IT

You must see it!! Go visit at evening!! You still have day light but church lights start to do their show!!

Although relatively simple and stately inside, the Cathedral of Stone comes alive at night with a recorded concert of fine music, narration, and even a compliment for the visiting traveler. Exterior lights illuminate the church as the musical score continues, changing colorations and styles as the program progresses. Completely delightful, and an appropriate tribute to our Lord.

Impressive in size ... Beautiful lights at night!!

Clearly one of Canela's top attractions! Be sure to see the church at night when it is colorfully lighted year-round. During the Christmas holidays, the cathedral is the sight for the main Sonho de Natal Christmas shows.

Dark outside and ugly inside

This is the city cathedral but it is terribly iluminated from outside.
We had difficulty to find it at night.

beautiful during daytime and also colourful at night
It is definitely worth visiting twice: during daytime to appreciate the architecture in full (indoors and outdoors), then also by night when many different colourful lights shine on.

Wonderful architecture

Neo gothic architecture visit that will guarantee wonderful photos. You can get there using a touristic bus and it is a 30 minutes visit.There is nothing else around to visit
