The island was beautiful without having any amazing landscapes (like we've seen elsewhere on Beara). It was tough hiking for a toddler, easy for an adult. Worth it for the ride, but otherwise the island was unspectacular.

An experience to remember
We went to Dursey Island with no expectations. Rugged bleak west coast coast, stalk country side.
We left OZ in the middle of winter, so the slight drop in daily temp was not a issue.

We loved taking the cable car over to dursey island! It was fun getting up close and personal with the grading sheep, as we hiked through the landscape. Fun to explore the old ruins and we even saw dolphins surfacing in the channel!
