Very wide beach, belongs to Monte Gordo bay. Lot of white sand. Nice warm and quiet water, At low tide you can walk for miles and the kids can play at the small water pockets. Beautiful sandy beach. Great for kids adults all ages. Plenty of food to be got on a budget or even if you want to splurge a bit. We went at high season so got there really early but its so hot in August, a full day there would be a lot if you dont bring an umbrella or rent the... More

This beach is very wide, with a lot of sand, with a calm sea. During low tide, you have a great extension of sand with small water pockets where baby kids can play.

The beach is lovely, sandy, long, wide, clean and was pretty quiet. Buuuuut, it's called "green beach" for a reason... there are generous amounts of green seaweed just at the waters edge. That didn't stop us collecting some really interesting shells, and having a lovely walk along the sands.

I was traveling by car from Portugal to Southern Spain and after a long day in the car I was desperate to find a nice place to rest for the night. I had driven by a few hotels and none of them gave me the feeling that I wanted to stay, and so I kept on driving. Finally my husband... More

Even in winter this is a gorgeous beach, miles of clean, white sand, easily accessed by wooden steps. There's nothing open in January but just take advantage of the walk, the sea and the views. The car park is free.

Definitely, our favorite beach in the zone: the access is made by the wooden stairs involved by natural beauty of the pines. Starting the descent to reach the sand the views of the crystalline waters of the ocean are like a postcard inviting for a swim... Oh, summer days, where are you now?!

As my title it's always lovely. With recent Road access improvement too it's easier to drive into the car park. Still free parking. There are bars restaurants restaurants open in the tourist season but out of season usually October these are closed. Nice Guarita Bar for sundowner drinks snacks I heard a good burger. Anyway the beach is a walk... More

We've visited this beach several times now, and enjoyed ourselves every time. Accessing the beach is easy, it's a section of a huge 10 miles-ish long beach in between the towns of Altura and Monte Gordo. There is a signposted turn directly off the main N125 road. Parking can be tricky when the beach is busy (particularly if you don't... More
