Some parking available and also accessible by foot from neighbourhood and on bike. One restaurant right at the beach and another a short walk up the hill. Public toilets and showers onsite too.

The sandy beach is a beautiful walk either east towards Monto Gordo or west towards Altura. The efforts that go into keeping it clean are well worth it and the sea seems to respond by being equally clean with very little detritus ever to be seen. Sun bathing or sea bathing we did both and Praia Verde does not disappoint. We were staying in Rio Seco and PV is the closest beach and was worth repeat visits throughout the week simply brilliant.

We visited in mid September. Place was delightfully uncrowded even on a Sunday. Great beach bar with clean toilets. Sunloungers and umbrellas available to hire. Sea calm with small waves.

Beautiful area with a lot of greenery and a stunning clean expanse of a beach. Praia Verde is probably the nicest beach I have been to - and the sand is so soft to walk barefoot on. Pretty much empty early in the mornings except for people in scuba-suits fishing(?) for clams (I think).

You can walk to Monte Gordo on the east side or to Altura, Tavira beaches and beyond to the west of it.

This is an oasis, beautifully cool in the summer when we initially visited and very quiet in March when we visited again. Raised wooden walkways lead from the restaurant areas and main car park down to the amazing and beautiful beach. There is a further restaurant Pezinhos n'areid which is actually on the beach. It is wonderful. A beautiful place although most places have limited opening times out of season.

With no necessity of crossing any roads at all, this beautiful stroll through the woods leads down a gentle slope to the ocean beach.
Even better, spouse took the car down to the beach and I was able to hitch a ride instead of returning back up the possibly not so gently rising return trip.

Spent a fabulous few hours here soaking up some autumn sunshine. Not many parking spaces right by the beach but plenty up the hill. Good clean facilities in the beach. Clean sandy beach.

the place is perfect for family holidays - pure relaxing, long beaches for endless walks and we had one of the apartments that offered all the comfort you need in a calm area (except the neighbours have a party)

This beach is part of the best beach location in Algarve. Being Portuguese and, therefore, knowing very well the Algarve beaches, I never understood why people (and foreign tourists) prefer the western Algarve locations. Sure, they make much more spectacular photos, but are inferior beach spots when compared with the eastern side of Algarve. From Tavira to Vila Real de Santo António you have dozens of kms of continuous beaches with warm waters and clear sands. There’s nothing like it in Portugal.
