Actually a very nice spacious beach.
However, the business conduct of sunbed vendors is more likely to be described as beach piracy.
While you can still get 2 sunbeds + sun protection for 15.-€ on 30 June, you should be on the 1st. July suddenly pay 25.-€ for the same service.
Sure, it's suddenly high season and 3 or 4.-€ more I almost realized but 10?!
Now I can also lie down in the very clean and fine sand, unfortunately this is more difficult for my 80-year-old parents.
So I'm staying in Fuseta in the future. Since I get sun protection twice and 3 sunbeds for a total of 25.-€ all day and that even in high season.
It’s not quite as elite, but all the more Portuguese 😉 and the beach at least as beautiful.

If you are looking for a magnificent beach but want to relax and relax then YOU'RE ON THE Wrong BEACH. From numerous families with friends to abusively occupy the space of the shelters around...the children uncontrolled and sent to zones with unoccupied shelters to give rest to the parents and stay in their reckless comfort who paid to not have to support the children of others....cry to call the "Zés Marias, Martim, Sebastião, Antónios, etc....unbearable %€#@#%
The guilt is partly attributed to the vigilant who allows this lack of education of respect and consideration of those who intend to spend a quiet day. Beach of my childhood but ruined by these "new" pseudo-rich tourists. NEVER AGAIN.

Beach inserted in nature.
Lots of quality and peace.
Almost everything perfect.
The only drawback: they charge 25 Eur (!) for an awning (almost all of them empty, obviously), the logic of wanting a quick profit prevails.

If you don't like the beach try the swimming pool. The prices are displayed outside. €6.5 half day and upwards to season ticket. Open until 30th sept. Get there early and you will get sun loungers and parasol. There are showers toilets changing rooms. Infinity pool with deep and shallow area. There is a bar and you can go outside to the restaurants.

Perhaps THE most stunning area along the east Algarve. Fantastic wide open award winning Blue Flag beaches with sand dunes, pine forest, fantastic beachside restaurant, recently re-built with great food and friendly staff. Also check out some of the villas on this resort - amazing!

The beach is magnificent and runs from Monte Gordo in the East to Tavira in the west. Good safe swimming most of the time. Excellant restaurants, we dined at "Restaurante Penzinhos na Areia, right next to the beach at Praia Verde. You need to reserve if you want one of the best tables, but ours was O.K. at the side we could still see the sea and feel the lovely sea breezes. We had cockles and a large sole betwen two of us. Another night we went to Restaurante Infante Panoramico on the cliff with fantastic views. Now under the management of "Infante" restaurante on the N25. Excellant! We had the sea food platter, which was incredible, a real feast.
We did a trip to Spain for lunch, sounds a bit grand, but there is a little ferry from Villa Real de Santo Antonio to Ayamonte. Free parking behind the terminal and a 15 minute "Chug chug" across to Spain, about €2. We walked 100m. or so into the town square and had a very pleasant lunch at Tasca la Puerta, we sat outside but the inside is well worth a visit, lookout for the slope to the toilets it nearly caught me out.
Back on the ferry and back to Altura, a pleasant change from frying in the Sun!!

Some parking available and also accessible by foot from neighbourhood and on bike. One restaurant right at the beach and another a short walk up the hill. Public toilets and showers onsite too.

Beautiful area with a lot of greenery and a stunning clean expanse of a beach. Praia Verde is probably the nicest beach I have been to - and the sand is so soft to walk barefoot on. Pretty much empty early in the mornings except for people in scuba-suits fishing(?) for clams (I think).
You can walk to Monte Gordo on the east side or to Altura, Tavira beaches and beyond to the west of it.

This beach is part of the best beach location in Algarve. Being Portuguese and, therefore, knowing very well the Algarve beaches, I never understood why people (and foreign tourists) prefer the western Algarve locations. Sure, they make much more spectacular photos, but are inferior beach spots when compared with the eastern side of Algarve. From Tavira to Vila Real de Santo António you have dozens of kms of continuous beaches with warm waters and clear sands. There’s nothing like it in Portugal.

Visiting here in beginning of October, very few people on the Beach, nice and clean Beach, lovely warm sea (23degrees C) and easy to get a sun-bed. Not easy to park your car though, a bit steep downhill walk to react the beach. Well worth a visit

Hola.
