The visitor centre is probably a good place when you come for the first time to this area as you will find many information about the park and the trails in this place. It can get very busy here and parking space is limited so...More

It was closed for most of our visit this year but I've been on previous visits. Interesting facts about local wildlife and the National Park itself - and free!

The best reason to visit are short hiking trails (7-9 kilometres) to the nearby fells. Taivaskero (809 metres above sea level)...More

Do not miss this visitor center, well done and loads of information. Hiking the fells can be daunting, endless wind and little shelter. Here they offer information about hiking but also about wild life and plant life kids can scout out while hiking.
