Winter Week Experience - 6 Days

Winter week experience is a unique tour that lets you experience Lapland in an authentic way.
You will stay in a log cabin with a fireplace and sauna far away from tourist masses and light pollution.
Unlike in cities and resorts, you can see the Northern lights right from your doorstep.
The tour is private and to make sure there is a personal atmosphere we only take maximum of 5 guests for this tour.

This tour is private for you and your party only. This way you will get so much more out of the experience. On a normal tour you share your experiences with other guests. Many times this means waiting in lines and tight schedules. We guarantee you that the value on this private holiday is better.

The visitor centre is probably a good place when you come for the first time to this area as you will find many information about the park and the trails in this place. It can get very busy here and parking space is limited so you might have to park you car in the parking lot a mile down the road

Pallastunturi Visitor Centre is open round the year (but during low season only on weekdays). It offers free exhibitions, wifi (WLAN) and lots of information about northern nature and Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. You can also buy fishing permits and hiking maps there. Many interesting hiking trails begin from the visitor center, e.g. Vatikuru Nature Trail (3 kilometers) and Taivaskeronkierros Trail (4.5 kilometers to the top of Taivaskero Fell and then back, together 9 kilometers). Taivaskeronkierros Trail offers extremely beautiful views from the highest fell (809 meters above sea level) of the area. The last 700 meters to the top are very rocky and there may be high wind there. There are good toilets in the visitor center but unfortunately they haven't any cafeteria. Luckily they sell lemonade and chocolate at the information desk. Lapland Hotel Pallas with a restaurant is situated next door but the hotel isn't open during low season. The visitor center is achievable with a wheelchair, too.
