Good little place to read up on the history of arsenic and see the old mine works and kilns, the place could do with some maintenance from the council

Have been here a couple of times and it's well worth the detour. These old sites are always fascinating and give an insight into the hard work done by pioneers in times gone by.

We visited this site after reading about it in the Emmaville Mining Museum. You need to walk down to it and there is an information board there. How difficult it would have been to work in this place.

The Historic Ottery Arsenic is off the beaten track near Emmaville on the New England Tableland NSW. We had no idea that there was so much mining history here in the late 1800s. First a tin mine and later an arsenic mine the site is...More
