Fabulous Sunday Brunch
Apr 2018 • Friends
We went for Sunday brunch with two friends who live in the area. I had high expectations and they were beyond met. There were endless choices and each dish was fresh and full of flavors. The cider was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderful. It was as if each party had their own unique dining space. The staff was super friendly. We walked the grounds afterward and were accompanied by two kitties. We enjoyed visiting the 13th century chapel, the burros and fields of apple trees.

Great experience!
Feb 2018 • Couples
We stopped in for a visit today and were so pleased at the experience! If I could rate it higher than 5 I would. The proprietor showed us around the entire farm and told such interesting stories. Spoke English well and gave us such a warm reception. Felt like family after we were done. Not to mention, the tasting showed us they have the best cidre and calvados in Normandy. Please stop by!

The best cider in Normandy... and the best Saturday brunch
Nov 2017 • Couples
We LOVED this place. We went because we were served Billy’s cider in Le P’tit Bistrot in Bayeux and it was the best we had tasted anywhere (and we live in the West Country in England so are pretty experienced in this particular area!) The shop/bar/cafe is modern, warm, stylish and a lovely place to spend time. Martine, who served us with generous tipples for tasting, was charming and fun, and to top it off, there is a 13th century chapel in the orchard at the back which is idyllic. We liked it so much that we returned for brunch on the Saturday. €25 per head for a truly stunning selection of savoury and sweet hot and cold dishes, cheeses, deserts and drinks. We will definitely go back and were encouraging Guillaume to export more to the UK!! Apparently he sells the draught cider to someone in Devon - will be checking that out! We bought calvados here too - exceptional.

Normandy and WW2 memorial visit
Jun 2016 • Solo
My father was a member of 46 Royal Marine Commando who along with his comrades liberated the village of Rots on June 11th 1944.
I have now visited Rots three times since 2013 to pay honour at the Commando Memorial erected by the villagers to remember his 22 Commando comrades who gave their lives on that day.

Each time I have visited Rots I have spent time at Billy's in the company of its owner Henri and can without doubt say that the products available are a first class representation of the "apple" treasures of Normandy.

Loved the Cidre
May 2016 • Couples
We were referred by the proprietor of our tourist apartment in Bayeux. As with another reviewer, at first we were a bit uncertain of the boundaries when we arrived, but the orchards and grounds were beautiful and they are in the process of improving their signage and facilities. Once we had a chance to speak to Guy, a member of the family who appears to be running things, we had a wonderful time doing a tasting of the cidres and Calvados. I was particularly fond of the Fraicheur Demi-Sec Cidre but almost all of the brandies and ciders were good and I ended up buying several bottles. Guy speaks very good English, having lived in New York, which is lucky since I speak no French whatsoever. All in all we very much enjoyed our visit. Now I have to figure out how to get more Ferme Billy cidre here in the states.

It is always a pleasure for us to share our knowledges with visitors and we very much appreciate a feedback from them as well. Since we have started collaborations with orchards located in the USA , we should be able to find more of our products in the US ( at least in some states) including the "cidre fraicheur" !!!! Part of the domain in Normandy is being "revamped". we are currently remodeling the parks and gardens that are surrounding the buildings of la ferme de Billy( cider house, cellars and tasting rooms, terraces, the roman chapel) so to make your visit an enchanting experience.

Nice grounds, good tasting and selections
Jul 2015 • Family
My wife is a big calvados fan, so we stopped here during our travels in the area. We first toured the grounds, including the orchard and the chapel.

The kids loved petting the donkeys.

My wife then sampled some calvados. We also purchased some cidre and calvados.

All in all, a pleasant visit.

A bit awkward
Jul 2015 • Couples
We read some great reviews and found an information booklet in our so we decided to pay a visit to this farm, since we wanted to bring home some Calvados and Cidre. Once there however, we didn't really know what we had to do, or where to go. They told us we could go and take a look at their estate and so we did. We walked around for a good half an hour but felt a bit uneasy not really knowing where to go or what to do. When we came back into the house they looked at us for explanation of what we really came doing here, and we practically did the same so it was a bit awkward and uneasy. Since it would've been rude not to buy anything we bought a bottle of cidre and one bottle of pommeau. I think it's all a bit more clear when your French is very good.
