Magpie Springs is an eclectic rustic 80-acre Vineyard. It has a Cellar Door Gallery and Climbing wall amongst an 1 1/2acre mature garden. The working vineyard also features natural scrub and large dams There is an array of wild birds which visit and other native wildlife which call Magpie Springs home. It has a relaxed home away from home natural ambiance. Half way between Adelaide and Victor Harbor. Mclaren Vale and Willunga the nearest towns. The buildings are an unusual rustic mix, giving visitors a unique Adelaide Hills / Fleurieu Peninsula country experience. There is a wide range of things to see and do to appeal to all age groups and interests. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the serenity of grounds and bring a picnic. The wines available for purchase at the Cellar Door are all made from the grapes grown on this property. The vines are some of the oldest planted in the Adelaide Hills Wine Region. The wines are boutique and unique to this property. Varietals include Chardonnay, Riesling Savignon Blanc, Semmillon, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Shiraz. We sell wine by the bottle The gallery has hosted local, National and International artists works. - paintings, drawings, photography and sculptures. The works are for sale. The owner is an artist with works in National and International collections. We have an annual photographic competition on Magpie Springs in which photographers can win both cash and prizes. The information for the competition can be found on our website or on our Magpie Springs fb page. The Cellar door is not a cafe but we do provide one variety of newly roasted coffee (latte, capachino expresso etc and beans are available to take home. Hot chocolates, locally hand blended organic teas some soft drinks and water for non drinkers Southern Boulder takes care of the more energetic/adventurous with a bouldering wall. We have held the State Climbing Championships here 2 yrs in a row. Kids age 3 to 74 have climbed our wall its $10pp. Yoga is held here Sun and Mon at 6pm. $15 Children MUST be supervised at all times. The front garden/grounds can be hired for Corporate or Private functions/events. nb As this is a working vineyard, our home and visitors come to enjoy the serenity of the property. For everyone's safety and enjoyment all children must be under strict supervision (especially if climbing) If unable to follow a basic safety talk prior to attempting the climbing wall, Magpie Springs and Southern Boulder is not for you. Magpie Springs is a genuine working vineyard and a work in progress. Come visit and be part of its story. Exercise for the body - Art for the mind - Nature for the soul, Wine because its a vineyard and its delicious..
