We went through this museum and were very impressed with the quality of aircraft on display and also the displays themselves. There are many impressive aircraft. Catalina, Lancaster, DC3 plus so many more housed in the two hangers. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and passionate about there work. There was also masses of displays to read. If you are at... More

This museum has one of the best displays of aviation history I have seen in Australia. The museum is housed in two buildings and with some item displayed outside. The restoration of the aircraft has been carried out to a very high standard to the extent that aircraft look like they are ready to fly again. The Lancaster, Catalina and... More

Whether you just like planes or you want to get a wealth of information on the development of Western Australia's aviation history, this museum is a fantastic place to visit. I lived in Perth from 1997 until 2003 and l have always taken a keen interest in both Perth's and Western Australia's history. I was amazed at the wealth of... More

Having read plenty and visiting the Lancaster on numerous occasions I was keen to get a small taste of what the aircraft was like to fly. The tour was incredible and I strongly recommend to anyone who loves aircraft. To imagine the experiences of those that flew inside these aircraft during the war is very humbling.

We have visited the museum several times, including once with our 6 year old grandson. So informative and so well laid out and presented. I tip my hat to all the volunteeers that have worked on this over the years!!

1st time here, did lanc/C47/spit tour with Jim. Was totally blown away by the experience of sitting inside these magnificent iconic aircraft...to witness just how tiny the tail turret is... to physically climb over the wind spar and then shuffle into the pilots seat and recall the stories I've read about in books ...it brought home to me the realisation... This was my third visit to the museum and the one I had been looking forward to for a long time as I had received a gift certificate for the Lancaster, Spitfire and DC-3 tour. There are very few places in the world that you can actually get inside a Lancaster Bomber or sit in the cockpit of a Supermarine... More

We come here regularly, & every time we do, a different one of the volunteers has gone out of his way to make it special for us. One time, we got to see the model room. Another, he explained the helicopter to my special 7yo son in detail & fielded questions like a pro. It's great value entry fee &... More

Straight up, go on a Saturday. They start some engines which was really awesome to see and hear and they only do that on a Sat. Call ahead to check what time. There are two large hangers and we spent over two hours there with a 5 and 6yo in tow. Some craft kids can get into. There were a... More
