A good beach if you want peace and seclusion from the crowds. There is nothing on the beach except sand, stones and sea, so you need to bring everything you need for a day at the beach. There are large stones in the water and you should not enter without water shoes. I personally broke my toe. Access to the beach is very bad.

This beach is probably not the best Thassos has to offer. The road that takes you there is quite bad. One thing I liked is a horse along with a pony right before the beach that were really beautiful and friendly. The sand was filled with little rocks making it hard to walk and that continued in the sea as well. Tons of rocks made it impossible to get into the water without shoes which is probably why they created two pathways by using sacks. The umbrella with 2 sunbeds costed 5 euros which I find quite expensive for what it had to offer. There was no actual beach bar but a kantina which offered food(e.x. hot dogs, fries etc) and had poor availability when it came to drinks. Apart from all that the view was quite beautiful but I don't recommend it especially for families due to its rocky nature.

We went to Livadi on a day we were looking for a quiet-unorganized beach and it totally made our day. The sea and the beach is quiet pebbly but if you have sea shoes, it creates no problem. In my opinion-depending on the day-it is better to be there around 16:00, as the sea is calmer and you can use a couple of seabeds left on the beach. It is surrounded by rocks, but the sea is safe and there were no big pebbles. There was absolutely no one on the beach on that day and it was such a delight to be completely lonely on the beach (as the island is pretty overcrowded on July and August) and just listening to the sound of the waves. There is also 2 caravans camping near the shore -they were both aged 60+ and they seemed they were enjoying the location. I strongly suggest to spend an afternoon at this beach if you are looking for an isolated spot.

When we visited, there was no development or sunbeds on the beach. There was good access by 4x4.
Many previous visitors had built cairns from the stones on the beach which was both attractive and slightly surreal.
Entry to the water was excellent but avoid if there is a strong Suotherly wind blowing.
There were no facilities and the beach was quiet. Fantastic!

There is no beach left there. Only a poor road that you can't do it with the car, and a beach full of rocks vegetation and mud. The view is nice, but even if you want to go there to have a "virgin" beach for yourself, is still not worth it. The water was full of mud, so no snorkeling chance. And is also bad that in the "Welcome to thassos" flayer that we received, the beach looks like is still usable.

Two years ago Livadi Beach was well organized and it looks attractive. We did not stay on that beach when we visited for the first time because it was a windy day and the beach was fully exposed and there were also big waves.
We come back this year and went on Livadi Beach after the forest fire was completely under control. The vegetation in that area was affected on both sides of the main road. The beach was completely deserted and in the first place we thought that was a consequence of the fire. But after a few minutes we realized that this beach was no longer administrated and there were no more umbrellas, sunbeds and beach bar. Actually the beach is quite abandoned.
We realized that it is possible that the main reason for abandoning this beach was the very difficult access into the water. The sea bottom is full of very different shaped and sized boulders and even with water shoes is almost impossible to keep your balance when you try to walk in water. More than that, the water is shallow for a great distance and you have to walk at least 20-25 meters from the shore until you can take a safety swim.
From Livadi beach, looking along the shore on the left side we saw that this year Astpas beach, which is more sheltered, was organized with umbrellas and sunbeds. This means that also the road access towards this beach was improved from two years ago.

I personally liked more this beach even if it is not marked, it was freer, more intimate and bonus, was also a source of good drinking cold water and acolo.Plus natural shade in the forest, super! At this low reached on foot from that big, about 10 minutes.

Although we chose this beach because it was not organized, we didn't particularly enjoyed swimming because there were waves. So, we dicided not to stay for long. Then, we went to a scenic beach (Arsanas), right next door, which was calm but crowded.
