This is really experiencing nature at its best. Although many people are visiting this place I would not recommend it as yet most specially to those who are very meticulous about safety. The guides are young and they don't provide life vest. Although the stones...More
We were unprepared for the natural beauty of the place. The rock formations , natural waterfalls and the trails were great. It is an adventurous place but well ran and the guides are excellent. They really look after you and are very agile on the...More
We arrived and were ushered in the parking area, with a parking fee of 30pesos. Then we had to " register " and this was when we started to get quite disappointed, as locals the charge was 20 pesos and kids younger than 10 ,...More
First, a clarification: The attraction is actually called the Jovellar Underground River. It's located in Brgy. Quitinday, Jovellar, Albay Province. Nearby is the Sigpit River, which is also a popular attraction.
We went there last July. It's a long way of twists and turns from...More
first time here and I was with my senior parents...amazing underground river...it was a short one but it gives you small-midsize falls with rock boulders that are surprisingly not slippery. the water is cool and clear. you will also encounter caves that lead you to...More
Quitinday Underground River is a great place to spend an afternoon in the water. However, if you have mobility issues, this is not the activity for you.
Once you check in, you're provided with a guide who will accompany you for the entirety of your...More
We had great fun one sunny day in July 2016. This lovely valley is on the border between Quitinday/Camelig and Jovellar/Guinobatan and the river has cut through one of the hills, made a small gorge and passes over a few waterfalls with plenty of pools...More
Tucked away, it takes a while to get there. But make sure you bring your swimming costume. A favourite place with the locals, the earlier part of the falls has more kids swimming but keep walking to the River, once you get there take the...More

We went to Donsol in the beginning of June and it had been a week of no sightings so we weren't able to see any whale sharks. Instead of staying in the resort or going for island hopping, the staff from our hotel recommended seeing...More
Call me paranoid but I don't like said ages for the attraction. There's a bamboo ladder that can be difficult for someone less physical. We were recommended to go barefoot at that point. Plus a few more rocks albeit not so... More

Hallo, we also live in Legazpi and run a guesthouse there, Bayview Ridge Residences. The last time we went to Quitinday underground river was 8 weeks ago and the damage caused by a storm had destroyed the bridge down to the river so the underground river was not accessible. You can still see the waterfalls but unless they repaired the bridge and the raft you cannot go into the tunnel. Please check with the Tourism office located at the back of the Astrodome, they might know. The charge is quite high for foreigners (P200) but fairly low for locals (P50)
