From Calibishie, where I stayed, I walked on the road towards 'Number One Beach', but since there was no sign, where to branch off, I walked too far all the way to the marked branch off for Batibou Beach. It took me 50 minutes to...More

Batibou beach is a must visit and hopefully Irma and Jacqueline will be there serving their delicious food at the beach bar! Try their homemade ice cream as well!

Two amazing women run a small bar/restaurant on this slice of unspoiled paradise. Hurry and visit before its gone. Learn their story of trying to save this area from development.

In the beggining, we were very sceptical about this place (because all the comments we read), but in the end it was just amaizing. From the start you have to understand that this is a private beach and that there is a fee of 5US$/person....More

Many locals will tell you that this is the most beautiful beach on Dominica, and it might well be. It's an Atlantic beach, and so subject to potentially more active currents and winds. Right now in mid-February 2019, there is a lot of wind, and...More

Beach is beautiful, strong and dangerous currents. Good for photography. We parked our car on the shoulder of the main road, outside the sign which says Hampstead (Batibou) Beach. From there we walked through heavy mud for 15-20 minutes, until we reached the beach. Upon...More

Thanks for your review. The road took a heavy beating during the heavy rains 3weeks ago. We are still in the process of repair. If you must drive down then make sure you have 4WD!

Hey! If you wanna be "WOWED" by one of Dominica's beaches you just gotta go to Batibou beach! The beach is somewhat isolated and can be found in Calibishie. It takes about 15 - 20 minutes to get to the beach (when walking). There is...More
