The outlets, what a... Here in gotemba, you find a tourist attraction, really attractive for a certain sector of tourists, who like the emotions based on tickets... I tell you the story, we traveled to Japan as a couple, a year ago, and determined to leave the traditional cities, looking for a place to see Mount Fuji up close, we found this city, which we had left on the way, on the route, without deviating too much, with a hotel that we found suitable and decided to stay for the photo. Once we arrived in the city and looking for what to do as we would stay two nights here, we discovered that there was a premium mall and outlet.... Once I review the details on the internet, I realize that it has a couple of stores that I would be surprised to see, even if it was for the anecdote, I say, I have entered luxury stores on several occasions, and in several places, but there were stores that I had never seen and had to proceed to know. First of all, there is no loss, the gotemba train system, has a bus that goes around the mall, free, if I remember correctly, heading to the mall every 15 or 20 minutes, so getting there is no problem. Once you arrive you will bump into the approximate level of shops, if I remember correctly, just getting off the bus, you will bump into the first selection, which includes kate spade, hag tahuer, Diesel and others. As you go along you realize that it is divided by sections, a lower one, where you find shops like the ones I tell you, but not limited to them, there are fendi, Christian loubutine, Loewe, Burberry, Balenciaga, and many that I did not even know... and a high section with several floors that go into a mountain---which has many more shops, with the most varied arrangement possible, things to camp, for school, clothes, novelties, a food area that is also varied and looks appetizing, chocolate shops like lyndtt, which are very good, and a beautiful view of Mount Fuji that was ultimately the purpose of this stop. You find a gem, with multiple stores, and if you start looking for videos, you will notice that there is an endless amount of information and good reviews about it, a matter of taste, to me in particular I found a mall super huge, varied, and precisely tucked into a mountain and surrounded by river and nature, if you ask me, nomas around, for the views and for the atmosphere, the matter is already worth it!

I booked a bus from Shinjuku. From departure to bus reservation detailed on the outlet homepage was convenient. But Saturday is better to avoid. There are many vehicles. It's very tight. It took about 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours, but it took 3 hours. The outlet consists of West, East, and Hillside, and each store is large and wide. You need to report a comfortable exercise. I was there from morning until 19 a.m., and I barely looked around. Japan itself was not cheap for brand clothing or shoes, but lived more than expected. That it becomes tax-exempt (there are some non-tax stores. Mostly Adidas, but special discount 20% more because the price was good) because the price was pretty good. Unusual is that samples or B products are sold, but they are very cheap. I was able to settle for a really ridiculously cheap price. There are huge shops and famous restaurants, and you can also see Mount Fuji, so you can go for a day or two.

Visit to go to the on-site hotel drop-off bath. Take the free shuttle bus from Gotemba Station. It was 10 o'clock on weekdays, so I thought I was free, but to my surprise, Gotemba Station was already almost full, barely the last two. I waited for about 10 people on the next inter, but when I got there, I finally got four. I thought it would be heaven for shoppers with so many outlets. There was a feeling of openness and there were Mt Fuji landscape spots everywhere, and the morning was sunny, so the photos were perfect. It was nice to catch it when it was sunny because it was cloudy in the afternoon. I didn't really have much hope of shopping, but the three-piece set of Fauchon's jam, priced at Y5400, was a great deal at 1080. However, the best before date was about a month, so it is important to buy it by dividing it.

This is a huge Premium Outlet; just a day isn’t enough time. And careful, it’s easy to get lost. Parking is free. All the parking lots surround the outlet mall; so no need to take the first entrance. If you have been to Premium outlet malls in USA, Canada, or Malaysia, you’ll find this outlet mall is expensive with no deals to be had. Perhaps it’s due to the products being imported into Japan with a premium tax. It is all relative in my opinion though. If you come from Singapore or Hong Kong just for examples where premium goods are expensive, you might find something here.

If you are staying around Tokyo station it is quite easy to buy a bus ticket online or at the bus stop station . I would suggest online bus booking. Then on that day you go to Yaesu south area in Tokyo station to board the bus. Please check the boarding stop on the information board at the bus area. Today I am taking at ibus stop 5. Not sure if it will always be bus stop 5 but only fyi. In the event if you are unsure then ask the bus assistant there. They speak English.

Visited here for a couple of hours while on a tour from Tokyo to Mt Fuji. When we arrived the clouds were over Mt Fuji but we got fantastic views of it from this shopping centre after the clouds lifted while while we were shopping. The Gotemba Outlets is amazing, so many shops with great buys, alot cheaper than Tokyo. I'm not normally a shopper but I could easily have spent a whole day or 2 here, wish we had because we didn't even see 1/3 of it. There 3 areas, Hillside, West zone and the elite East zone which has the High priced shops like Louis Vuitton, Praia,Boss, Dunhill,Armani,, etc. Hillside and West zone you'll find Banana Republic, Burberry, Calvin Klein,Citizen, Coach,Converse,Gucci, Lacoste, and the others. There's also a play area for the kids and of course food areas. Don't forget to grab a directory when you arrive so you can find particular stores and your way around. See photos.

Gotemba Premium Outlets has many stores that I know, as well as many that I have not visited before. It is a good selection that should cater to most people's tastes. We spent the morning and part of the afternoon shopping, and also had lunch at the food bazaar. There was plenty of parking when we arrived.

This place is amazing, you get high end brands, all in a compact, well planned area.. with the beautiful Mt. Fuji in the background, great for photo ops.. The Food Court was nice, you get a good choice of Asian cuisine, may not be gourmet high end, but very passable for common folk.. There’s good Ice Cream, Steak, Pizza & Pasta too.. The best was seeing many shoppers bringing their well-behaved dogs with them.. Dogs were sooo cute.. Definitely coming back next year, will look for a hotel nearby to spend more time in the area..

We arrived at thr outlet from Shinjuku bus terminal. We were told there is a higher chance in getting bus tickets to the outlet mall.

We attempted to obtain tickets from Tokyo bus station without reservation like our previous visits but to no avail.

Bus tickets from Tokyo bus station were sold out for the next week!

Bus departed at 1045 hrs on time. Buses were full. Bus terminal is about 10 mins away from the train station (need to cross a road) and the bus terminal is located in a building.

Need to download the E coupons as outlet as done away with the paper coupons.

Many outlets provided a 10% discount. Passport is required for tax refunds with purchases more than 5000Y.

Outlets were crowded with many Asians tourists due to the weak yen.

We spend 5.5 hrs in the outlet (not enough time).

WiFi is provided in the outlet.

We bought drinks and food from Family Mart to save time for more shopping. There was a convenient store in the outlet mall.

I am a premium outlet fan, and I went to many of those across the USA and Australia. I was really excited to visit this place, as it is advertised on the net as one of the best around Tokyo, so I purchased the expensive bus ride from Shinjuku. What a waste of time and money! The prices for almost anything but some sneakers are higher than the full price of any USA, AU, or European department store. The discounts are very minimal, 10-20% at most. The selection inside the shops is also very limited but I believe that's a Japanese trend. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day, so I couldn't even see Mt. Fuji. Coming back to Tokyo took almost 3 hours due to an accident on the highway. Please save yourself a full day of your holidays and money.

There are many shops here in this premium outlet. Good to plan which shops you want to go & zero in. Food & cafes are readily available everywhere. Prices are really good if you’re okay with out-of-season items. The Onitsuka Tiger shoes are selling at really good prices but limited sizes. Overall, a place totally worth visiting. As for accessibility, I think driving is better so that you are not at the mercy of the bus timing.

If you're out for discounted branded luxury goods, there are a lot of choices.

For foreign tourists, do bring passports as there are 10% tax rebate which are sorted here, not at the airport, which is rather convenient.
We took the Shinkansen bullet train to Gotemba, but took a coach on the return trip to Tokyo city, which was convenient as it was easier to just load shopping bags in the coach available at premium outlet itself. Our coach brought us straight from premium outlet to Tokyo Station.

There's a nice clean prayer room for Muslims, but no warm water for ablutions. So during wintertime, ablution was rather inconvenient.

We went to this outlet from Kawaguchiko by bus. It took over an hour and we changed to free shuttle from Gotemba Station. There were clear signs at the station and shuttles leave every 15 minutes. It’s a great outlet with lots of high end stores - Burberry, Gucci, Prada, Tag Heuer, etc. It also has Sanrio store and Pokémon store. The stores offer good discounts with tax free purchases so it’s great. We caught a bus back to Tokyo at night. It is around 1 hour 45 min to Tokyo by bus. The outlet has a great view of Mt Fuji.

The customer service of the Chinese female staff at HUGO BOSS is terrible. I had a problem with the payment, but she completely ignored the customer, interrupted me when someone was talking, and glared at me. She is not good at speaking, so I have a hard time understanding why they hired her. I wish they would be more careful about hiring her, as it will only greatly damage the brand image. It's just a loss.

I stopped by on a family trip. My main purpose was to eat a hamburger at the popular "Sawayaka" on a Saturday during the sale, so I managed to get there before opening time and managed to get a reservation for around 2pm. First, I got some takoyaki to eat at the food court and walked around, but the site is so large that combined with the heat, I quickly lost my energy, and I ended up spending most of the time just cooling off. I was able to buy the jewelry I was looking for and enjoy the hamburger at "Sawayaka", so I accomplished my intended purpose, but I realized that if you really want to enjoy shopping, it's essential to check beforehand.

I visited the Prada store at the Karuizawa outlet mall, which I had not been able to visit.

There was a huge traffic jam at the Karuizawa outlet mall the other day, so I planned to enter before 10:00 during the summer holidays, but due to the traffic jam I arrived around 10:30.

Maybe by chance, there were fewer people than expected, so I was able to stroll around leisurely.

It was good that I was able to enter the Prada store without having to queue, but unfortunately they did not have the items I was looking for.

Luckily, I was able to purchase items at other stores, and I was able to buy souvenirs at various restaurants for the first time in a while, so I was very satisfied.

Gotemba premium outlet is a shopping outlet for leading brand goods, similar to other shopping outlets. What is special is its location at the foot of Mount Fuji. So apart from shopping we can enjoy the view of Mount Fuji. Unfortunately, when we went there, Mount Fuji was covered in clouds so we couldn't see it.
There are quite a lot of brands on offer and most of them are popular but not super luxury brands. Most apparel and fashion brands, for example Adidas, Casio, Samsonite, Michael Kors and others.
We were given 2 hours for shopping as part of a one day trip tour before returning to Shinjuku Tokyo. With all that time, we had to run around to get around most of the complex and shop at the outlet we were going to.

I went there on January 3rd, the beginning of the new year.
I left Tokyo at 7am and arrived at 9:30am.
My friend told me to go early because parking would be a big problem, but I waited an hour to get into the multi-storey car park.
If you go by car, be prepared.
The same goes for the return trip. It says that if you don't leave by 3pm, there will be a huge traffic jam!
Even if I left at 2pm, there was a huge traffic jam and it took more than an hour to get out of the parking lot.
I guess it can't be helped though.

For shopping, Kisarazu is probably the best.
Gotemba has a lot of different brands and the grounds are huge, so you can take a walk with a view of Mt. Fuji.
Adidas is 70% off, and Nike and Puma are cheap, so I bought a lot of sneakers.
