Paradise Island!
Feb 2020
I loved The Pico de Garza Island!!! It's an adventure to visit this place, getting there feels like an old Indiana Jones Movie. I loved the boat ride, only ten minutes from the Marina Cocibolca/Puerto Asese , we made reservations for 1 pm and the boat got there to pick us up right on time. You have to like them on facebook to find out about the different packages they offer and, reserve your spot. We eat lunch in many of the sitting spots, by the way my lunch was very good. And enjoyed the gorgeous refreshing pool, the main Pool has an Island in the middle (an Island within an island). I'll tell you there are some many beautiful spots around the Island to take colorful "post cards perfect" pictures. I heard they have guest rooims too if you want to spend the night. Special Shut Out to Raquel Ruiz, Thank you Rachael for your hospitality. I hihhly recommend The Pico de Graza Island for a relaxing, adventurous getaway, it is so worthy. It is a MUST while visiting Granada.

Loved the view, pools and food!

We loved this place! The only thing I did not like was that drinks (even soft drinks and juice) were limited per person (2) for the entire day! We arrived at noon and left at 4:30pm - drinks should have flowed given the hot weather at no additional charge - or, charge a flat rate for non-alcoholic drinks for the day - we would gladly pay, but paying extra per drink per time ordered seems a bit excessive. Other than that, the food was delicious (we ordered caballo Bayo package) and the trip in lancha (boat) was awesome. The lacha driver was knowledgeable of the lake, nearby attractions and history of Granada and the isletas. We will go back!

Great place to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon with family and friends. The ride to the restaurant was lovely we learned a lot of who owns these lovely homes that you see as your on the ferry. We saw lots of monkeys and turtles along our way.

When we got to Pico de Garza we was greeted very nicely. We accommodated ourselves and sat down to have lunch. The prices are in U.S. dollars. I had the grilled pork with white rice and tostones it was delicious! My friends had the churrasco which in my opinion was whatever nothing crazy and the others had fresh fried fish which was delicious as well. The little ones had chicken fingers in my opinion the best one I have had in Nicaragua. We washed it all down with a couple of toñas and soda for the little kids.

The place has about 4 pools, hammocks and lots of things to do. Overall a very beautiful place!

Great spot to enjoy a Sunday afternoon

My boyfriend and I spent the afternoon at Pico de Garza while staying at Isleta Espino. You are allowed to bring your own beer and food and enjoy the pools and the Lake. The admittance fee is 12 USD for the entire day.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy Nicaraguan families, Pico de Garza is a great spot.

I went this Saturday to Pico de Garza; it is my 5th visit. They increased the price & began to restrict the use of Kayaks. One of my favorite activities there was the kayaking. I used to take Kayak for about an hour around the island. Now I was stop after 5 minutes on the Kayak by a boy in a boat; he told me that we are not allowed to take the Kayak beyond the yellow floaters. I told him; I was willing to take the Kayak at my own risk. He didn't allow me. The section it was reduced to very small area for the Kayaks. Very disappointed. The bathrooms were out soap. This was the last time I visited this place.

There are three pools, small soccer pitch, ample beer and refreshments, the food is good. $25 gets you there and back, I used Vamonos tours which I highly recommend, and your lunch. Beers and tips extra. Overall pretty nice.

If you're in Granada I highly suggest taking a trip here. Five minutes away from Granada by boat this place is very nicely done with great amenities and a relaxing but fun feel. I go there every time I'm in Granada and am always impressed with the new additions. Overall, I will keep going back every time I can!

I came here with a coupe friends and we came to relax on our last day of vacation in Nicaragua. This Place has it all : pools, hammocks , gorgeous views, kayaks, a trampoline and a bunch of other stuff to keep everyone occupied. Our group bought the package which was around $45 but included a pick up at the port with an islands of Granada tour then transportation to the resort with food, a drink and dessert . The food and drinks were really good too ! We had a great relaxing day at the is beautiful resort. We would definitely come back if we're ever back in Granda, thanks for the great day !

Relaxing one day trip
Mar 2016 • Family
I heard of this place through other family members who had visited Pico de Garza, and I agree, it's a beautiful small place. We went on a Friday, and it wasn't too crowded, (we like to avoid crowds), and we had a very nice experience.

The boat ride was pretty calm, and just about ten minutes from main land, then, when we got to the island, we were greeted by a couple of very friendly, nice people and a fresh coconut, yum!

The place is not very big, but it has four pools, a volleyball court, kayaks, hammocks everywhere, a diving deck in the lake, and the view is breathtaking!

They have different packages you can choose from and you are allowed to bring snacks, drinks, etc.,

We had a wonderful time, even though there was a lot of construction going on and sometimes I felt I was getting in the workers way.....

The food and drinks were ok., but nothing to brag about.
