A short hill climb from the A6 through the small village of Anoyira we found this little gem as a place to learn something new and relax as our hosts served drinks and food.

It's small but in the searing heat it was nice to wander amongst the olive and carob trees, grape vines and more. A small play area for children, some animals to feed and exhibit demonstrating how olives use to be pressed.

Move inside and you can see the modern machines now used, press clippings and a small shop of select goodies that we wished we had bigger luggage for.

Finally we rounded off our tour with a video giving more information about olives and the process (if you go in October you can see this in action but out of season for our visit) whilst enjoying a tasting of olive oil soaked bread.

We stayed on to enjoy some lunch freshly prepared by the owner before making our way onward.

We enjoyed our afternoon out here and would recommend.

Enjoyed our visit, interesting to find out about the growing of olive trees & the production of the oil through the ages. It was very quiet when we visited & so lovely & peaceful.

There was no olive oil production when we visited but it was still interesting. The children enjoyed feeding the animals. The video was informative and the olive oil we tasted was good quality. The drive to the park is beautiful and we stopped at little villages along the way for refreshments. The locals were very welcoming and happy to sit and chat. Enjoyable visit.

Thank you for your kind review. Looking forward to welcoming you again in the fall so you can see the actual pressing as well.

We were visiting Anogyra village and they advise us to visit also the Oleastro Olive Park & Museum.
This is a small park outside the village. Ticket price for entering the park is very cheap but park is small thus you can walk, see everything in around 30 minutes.
I like and we need to support such parks especially in Cyprus that we don’t have many places to visit but owners need to understand that need to invest more for the facilities of such parks in order people to spend their day and enjoy. Need people to spend atleast half day in a park in order to have fun.
Need improvement.

Please save your money and time and not suggesting this stop. Takes some time to find - it’s not well marked. The park is not maintained with its over grown with its overgrown foliage obscuring the walking path. The animals on property looked cared for but the areas were not well maintained. The first clue of what was to come should have been the water fountain first turned on when you enter the park. It was green in color which suggests again not maintained. Too many other places to go on the island to waste your time and money here.

Nothing really do do or see here and the whole park can be easily covered in an hour or less. Like so many places in Cyprus there is a lack of cleanliness, maintenence and investment. The kid's playpark is small and the equipment is poorly maintained. The other exhibits are also not well maintained and the day we went there were no pony rides or other activities on offer. Despite this it is a beautiful setting and it would be a nice day out if there was more to see and do for the children. As a business owner myself I am often dumbfounded by the way others run their concerns. If I was in possession of such a huge and beautiful property with so much potential I would definetly do much better. For example, what does it cost to cut the weeds and clean up the place? Nothing. Or why not invest a few hundred euros in the playground and put in a slide and a few more swings? OR maybe get some more animals - a few goats, a donkey maybe - for the children to see and learn about ? Like many places in Cyprus the tendency is to milk the customer and offer the same thing year after year until the business collapses due to lack of innovation, upkeep and investment. Then complain that nobody comes. Shame.

We visited today, we were lucky enough to be the only people there, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed reading about olive production and watched and interesting video while having a few tasters of oil. There is plenty to look at and animals to feed for a bargain price of €1 a bag. The shop is quality and very reasonably priced. Will be going back with mother and grandma.

Honestly I wish we had not wasted a whole precious afternoon looking for this "attraction". Firstly it was virtually IMPOSSIBLE to find. Our navigator stopped us & told us we arrived when we were in the middle of nowhere. After driving around for a long time we finally stopped & asked an elderly gentleman in a nearby village & he told is where to go.

The facility itself is SO DATED. The machinery & automated recording showing how olive oil is extracted is so old & the characters look creepy.

The animals there look so undernourished & uncared for. The pool camel was skin & bone & the goat enclosures are terrible.

We read you could see a real life olive mill at work but on the day we were there it was just machinery behind a glass enclosure.

The only interesting thing were the few signs scattered around the premises explaining the impotence & history of olives.

So final say - don't waste your time or $. I wish wish educational facilities such as this would be more widely spread on the island. Only they need to be of much better quality!

Dear Athienitou Thank you for taking the time to rate us and tor point out that the GPS directions were not helpful. It seems that someone has given wrong coordinates for the GPS - not us. Why would we want to frustrate potential visitors by sending them off to wrong directions? I'm sorry you couldn't see the actual olive process, but you see the olive season starts mid October and ends in January. This is why we have a video explaining how olive oil is made for visitors who come off season. Let me assure there is nothing wrong with the camel! Camels shed the winter coat in the heat of summer. Thank you for pointing out we need to speed up our maintenance work. It is, indeed, a Sisyphean task. The tickets you have are valid for multiple visits. Now that you know how to get to us, you might want to come back later, say in November, to see the actual process. You might even try calling earlier in the day to ensure there will be olives pressed when you get to us on 99525093. We are looking forward to your next visit.

Decided to escape the usual busy places on the coast and try something different. So glad we did as the park is a beautiful place for a visit. A fantastic setting which is great for the whole family. The children fed the animals, we learnt about the olive oil production and then had a very tasty lunch. I would highly recommend this for a family day out and will definitely be going back son.

We visited in mid November. This is the time of year to visit when the olives are being brought and put through the process to be turned into olive oil. You can watch the process and also watch a video, which is available in several languages, explaining the process and the importance of the olive trees on the island. The coffee shop has a limited menu. The park is only small but tries to cater for all ages. Friendly staff answer any questions and there is a souvenir shop which sells the olive oil, products made from olive oil and olive patterned pottery.
