About
Watermans is West London's leading arts centre. We are an independent cinema showing recent films from just £5. We have a 239-seat theatre with a regular programme of children's theatre and special events, and have a year round new media arts exhibition programme in our Gallery. And lots more! The Guru Tandoori Kitchen serves freshly made Indian food, and the bar serves fresh coffee and tea, wine, Fullers beer and light Indian bar snacks. Our ethos is to inspire all communities through the Arts, and we hope you'll enjoy your visit with us. .

If you live in London area this centre is well worth a visit.
Indian restaurant /cinema/bar/children's theatre/cabaret nights all on offer.
Across the road from the centre there is a modest Indian restaurant Albany Spice which serves good food and has no alcohol license so you can take in your own drink.
Car park with plenty of space below centre.
Film menu changes frequently and films generally of better quality than those on offer at local cinemas.

We live locally to this cinema / arts centre, but had never previously visited. What a great find. Lovely local cinema which shows a lot of the more arty and foreign language films. There is also a bar and an Indian Restaurant within the complex overlooking the Thames. We will definitely be returning.

This place reminds me of the South Bank before it was smartened up. From the outside nothing entices you to enter. There is a car park but the spaces are tiny and the turns very tight so don’t try it in anything bigger than a Golf. The signposting is poor and it makes poor use of its riverside location. It could be fabulous but it clearly lacks someone with a bit of sparkle to drag it out of the doldrums. Ask the people who did the South Bank for help. It worked for them.

We think the South Bank had slightly more money as a major central London venue! :-) We like to embrace the architecture and the views are wonderful, plus we have a busy programme of cabaret, dance, film, children's theatre and lots more so come and discover what we're all about. And we're working with the council and developers on plans to relocate to a state of the art new building in the next few years so watch this space!

We went to ‘ flamenco express’
Emilio ochando

This was one of the best flamenco’s we have ever seen & we have seen a lot in Spain.
The theatre was ideal as always. A little Gem for us locals.
This is a travelling Spanish flamenco group.
The main dancer is artist of the month .
He was sensational ! What a dancer so professional, & wore outstanding clothes.
It was flamenco, ballet , he used the castanets & out standing shawl ..
We all stood up , clapped & felt totally exhausted .. what a evening !!
Felt sorry for all the people who missed it.

The Watermans is a theatre/cinema/cabaret venue in Brentford.
Despite lack of funding, council disputes and the constant building of unaffordable fancy flats, the Watermans has soldiered on.
It overlooks the river towards Brentford Ait, a wildfowl preserve. The sunsets are extraordinary!
I belong to a Film 🎥 Club which meets there monthly. The films are contemporary and the Monday ticket price is £7. There is a bar with sandwiches 🥪 and snacks and a reasonably priced Indian restaurant with delicious chicken korma.
Do support this venue.

Thank you for your lovely review. We really appreciate people supporting us and we hope to see you again soon! And even better tickets on Mondays are in fact £6 so even cheaper!

Have a very good cheap lunch , choice of curries, a glass of wine and all with river views. Then a film, choose your day for a brand new film. Or Caberet and always a small exhibition.
Good vibe. Comfy seats, try it.

Great place to visit, easy to get to, parking, and very cost effective way of watching films in a friendly and relaxed environment. Almost don't want to write a review so it doesn't become too crowded!! Friendly staff as well.

Good local cinema to Brentford, ealing and kew area. Good quality screen and sound. Seating not that well tiered but it’s often quiet so not a problem to see. Can take beer and wine into cinema from the onsite bar.
