Quiet and Peaceful Ganesh Temple
Nov 2018 • Friends
Temple dedicated to lord Ganesh. This is situated on top of a hill. Prefer to take your own transport as public transport is not very reliable. The temple premise is well maintained and is clean.

Aayira Koda Seva
Mar 2017 • Family
Guddattu temple is located at the approx distance of 20 Kms from Kundapura. Travelling by car is recommended though public transport facility is available.

The reining deity is Lord Vinayaka. The temple perform unique seva called Aayira Koda seva which means one thousand pots water seva. One has to book years in advance to perform this seva. Daily two such seva is being performed now. They do provide lunch for those who offered seva.

Temple staff are friendly & polite and explains the history of the temple and their future projects. Premises are neat and clean.

Temple in hill
Aug 2015 • Family
Unique location. In the hill there's temple. Story is like: once Lord Vinayaka fell in honey' ants started biting; then he came here and started poring water from well. Now ritual is: you can have a HARAKE to serve here for some need. Then you have to come, pull water from well and go on adding till statue gets submerged till neck.

This temple is a must visit for all the Tourists in Udupi. Approx. time from Udupi is 40minutes and may be max to max 25kms. This temple is inside a cave made of hard rocks. Lord Ganapati (Elephant God) is immersed in neck deep water throughout the year. Here the offering itself is 1000 koda seva. ie. One thousand pails of water. The priests drain out the water twice everyday and fill it exactly with 1000 pails of water. This happens at 8.30am and 11.30am every day. This sava ( offering ) is pre booked for the next three years.

Must and should visit in your agenda. The route is Brahmavar-Barkur-Saybrakatter -left and straight for almost 10kms. and take left.
