Standalone and beautiful
Jan 2020
This was our destination temple. Very old and powerful as all other temples. I had called earlier and booked for milk abishekam. They do it twice a day. 1st time at 7 am and 2nd at 10a.m. We selected the 10am abishekam since we had to travel from Kollur. Easy to find it using google maps. This temple is beside river Kubja. Some betterment work was going on in the temple. We went, did the pooja, left after sometime. We were given prasadam, the abhishekam milk. If we were there at noon, we could have had lunch. But could'nt wait since we were travelling to Dharmastala.

divine and appealing temple of shakti
Mar 2019
this temple has rich divine of its own and the diety is durga devi. brahmi is basically called as the healing devi. History which adds up today also is in monsoon the lake beside if the water level up its enters the temple and fills tills the holy feet of devi and is gets back but never crosses above the feet of devi. The prasadam of food every afternoon is something unique and amazes with so many varieties . The entire temple is blessed with all major shrines of gods , let it be ganapathi or shiva or subramanya you will find all these inside the temple with daily rituals and offerings. Apart from that there is also a cave nearby where the mystery adds up about a loin who guards the surrounding village and also if something important is to happen then it is said villagers hear the sound of loin and there are evidences of these happening in the village. the cave is where a rishi did his penance and goodess appeared and gave him boon . So if you visit udupi or barkur then its a must visit place and get blessings from the divine mother.

Rare temple and sumptuous festival menu for ‘Prasadam’!
Mar 2019 • Couples
Visited this small temple town during our trip to Udupi. Large temple premises with Devi Durga Parameshwari as presiding deity. Calm place and relatively a rare temple. Prasadam is served to all the visitors in the afternoon at lunchtime which in fact is comparable to festival menu! Amazing food serving people, mostly volunteers and they compel you to eat sumptuously. Great hospitality. Credit must go to the management for managing very well all the facets the temple activities including proper handling of visitors.

Unique Temple
Apr 2018 • Couples
It was a wonderful experience visiting this holy temple. I understand there are very few Brahmi Durgaparameshwari Temples in India. They are most welcoming and guide the devotees in a very friendly manner. A visit to the Caves is memorable. Sumptuous lunch is offered to all visitors.

Excellent temple do not miss it
Nov 2018
This is Durga temple. The place is excellent and stay can be booked in the temple. Do not venture after evening if you are new to this place as the read is lonely and you might miss the way. I took a guide and drove here. They are excellent in looking after the visitors and are very accommodate. I believe the food provided her is also very good. I missed it due to the late evening and we were in urgent to go to mookambika.

Soothing nature, nurtures your inner soul.
Aug 2018 • Family
Tuesday and Friday busy place. I went on a Wednesday for mid day pooja, as we reached the place n got down felt like... "Please look arround," coz the nature arround u makes you to do so.
Wide temple with ample parking place. Not many devotees to rush into.
Silently entered the temple and had a great view of the Goddess Durga.
This place offers its visitor's a good treat for lunch. Mouth watering meal,i never had such good lunch menu in any other temple. For distant pilgrims can book their guest house, available.
Over all this place supports the Yakshaganam, a popular whole night entertainment in the coastal Karnataka.
May brahmi Durga bless you all n ur good wishes come true.

Serine atmosphere
May 2018 • Family
Very old temple wonderful location along the river kubja. The main deity is Durgaparameshwari. Temple environment is very calm and quite. Variety and quality food including 8-10 items and 2 sweets are served daily for lunch. The free lunch for all devotees starts after the mangalarathi pooja in the temple performed at 12.30 pm. People are very courteous. Afternoon lunch was like a feast the only temple in Karnataka where food is served with commitment and varieties. Newly constructed building behind the temple having rooms Ac & Non-Ac for stay. In the temple breakfast, Lunch and dinner is provided. The temple is open from morning 5.00am to 8.00pm in the evening. From Kundapura kamlashile is around 35 to 40 km. From Udupi around 60-65 km.
